Seriously wtf Weiss!
Morneau is hitting like a buck fiddy, yet hes locked in to that cleanup spot.
I want to see Dickerson 2, Tulo 3, Arenado 4, Cargo 5, Morneau 6.

or at least move Morneau to 6th and slide Arenado and Dickerson up a spot.

edit - guess the first one wont work because theyd be susceptible to LOOGY late in games in 2 spots, but cmon get Morneau out of the cleanup spot!

I'm usually very good not overreacting to stats from this early in the season, good or bad. I know Adrian Gonzalez isn't gonna hit 45HR. I know Kershaw doesn't all of a sudden suck. But I'm having second thoughts about these two players already.

Nelson Cruz and Justin Upton. Both were awesome last year and then nobody wanted either of them this year after being traded to teams who play in very pitcher friendly parks. They were both cheap in all my auctions and I never bought Cruz and bought Upton only once. Now they're both tearing the cover off the ball. And I fear I made a mistake.

What do you guys think? Did we put too much stock into where they where playing and not enough into the fact these guys are straight mashers?

Tiny sample sizes thus far man. And no I don't think the park based thinking was faulty although people sometimes forget half their games are still played away

Thoughts on Jonathan Schoop? Obv the 42% HR/FB isn't going to last. Anyone know whow many ABs it takes for line drive % to be legit? I assume a lot, but seemed worth checking. He's hitting a lot of them compared to last year.

Of course you are right and I am aware of that. But sometimes the first week and a half of the season is a sign of things to come, either good or bad and it is our job to figure it out. I'm just saying maybe we were too pessimistic about these guys power numbers.

Safeco Field:

LF - 331ft
LC - 378ft
CF - 401ft
RC - 380ft
RF - 326ft

Rogers Centre:

LF - 328ft
LC - 375ft
CF - 400ft
RC - 375ft
RF - 328ft

Safeco known as pitcher friendly and Rogers Centre known as hitter friendly. Give me Cruz all day, mashers gonna mash an extra 3 feet.

So right now, in my league I'm crushing most all offensive categories, but my pitching is lacking with Richards/Jansen/Smyly/Fernandez on the DL, and Iwakuma struggling (also have McHugh, Wood, Peralta, Hahn), and we have a max 1400 IP for the season. Should I worry about my lack of pitching and trade someone on my offense now, or will my pitching come back and be enough for the season?

I don't know about planning for an innings cap, but Fernandez and smyly aren't really sure things when they come back, and neither is Richards really. Feels like you drafted just 1 too many DLed pitchers, if you have a spare offensive piece it's probably worth it.

Trade offer in a standard 5x5 H2H dynasty league -
His Ian Kinsler and Christian Yelich for my Billy Hamilton.

Do you take it?

FWIW Nelson Cruz has hit 0 HR @ Safeco this year.

Safeco < Rogers Center because of weather/water not because of dimensions.

Ya the dimensions are similar, but the ball just does not carry in places like Seattle, SF, SD, Oakland, etc. It flies in Rogers Center.

Like DarkKnight said, its the weather and air conditions that make a huge difference. Thick, wet, cool air kills the flight time of the ball.

I snap this up so fast I might break a finger on the keyboard.
I mean you only need to win steals by 1 every week. How many of his bags are being "wasted" on your team?

Deep league MI potential stash:
Tim Beckham.
He's a post-post-hype sleeper for me.
Missed almost all of 2014 due to a weed suspension and a torn ACl but he is fully healthy now and back up on the MLB roster.
Been getting starts this week and has been hitting the ball very hard so far. Already 1 HR, and got robbed last night of another by an all world catch by Pillar. I think he takes over the 2B job in Tampa and could be a guy who hits 15HR with 15-20 steals at SS/2B.
