The first part of the rule quoted ("A minor league player is any player that...") would indeed apply to Park's case and was written to address this type of situation, if I'm remembering it right.
I don't think its been done before. One reason, is because when we change his contract status from "N" to "Y" on the OS, we would then need some note to refrain from the default "R" upon being called up. I think we would remember this issue happening previously. Its not a big deal to make that note, I just wanted to point out this new scenario and make sure this is what we all want.
