Shonn Greene is the obvious hot commodity of the week. No one can expect that kind of production against competent teams, but if he turns out to be a even little worse than Washington, that's still a pretty good pick up.

Michaels Bush and Bell look worthy of consideration, and Beanie Wells is showing signs of life, too (and even the ability to catch passes). None of them are above 40% owned, so they may be available. Crabtree and Nicks are the only WRs I can think of worth thinking about picking up, but they're both already over 60% owned. Maybe Wallace, too, and he's under 30% owned.

Anyone like Arizona D vs DeLOLmme over Indy's D vs 49ers?

On the "drop" side of things, Leon Washington is obviously done. Massaquoi seems hardly worth his salt, either.

Oh, I guess Alex Smith has just been named starter. Cut Hill. Only add Smith if you're hurting for a QB.

I feel sick. I picked up Shonn Greene last week as a bench flyer because my RBs suck big, huge, pennice. To put it in perspective, Leon was my 2nd best RB, where I start 2 and 3 if they fit my flex spot.

I cut Greene yesterday morning to pick up Hakeem Nicks, which wasn't hugely mandatory but I thought I'll keep my eye on Greene as the year progresses. Nothing would happen out of the blue to make him a hot commodity. lol.

So Leon starts for me, goes down on first carry, and now I will be having to use my #2 waiver priority to get Shonn Greene, whom I dropped yesterday.

I hope to God the guy ahead of me doesn't get him. He's got RB depth so I doubt he does, but he could do it just to snag BPA. But he's had high priority for a few weeks and hasn't used it.

At least Beanie Wells looks like he may be able to take Leon's spot next week if I can't get Greene. I simply can't start Derrick Ward ever. Glad I've kept Beanie on my roster all season.

Anyway, Beanie is a good pick-up if he's available.

Both beanie Wells and fast Willie Parker are available as FA. With Mendenhalls fumble issue Parker could see more touches... Wells looked pretty good Sunday, which one do you pick up to stash?

Probably Greene. I hope to have both, since I really only have Ronnie Brown right now as a legit starting option.

Lets see how they do vs. Schaub this week. If they play well I think you can say yes because they defended Brees pretty well too in addition to the above abortions.

Well, if LeSean McCoy isn't owned in your league, he'll have more short term value than Wells or Greene now.

I'm with GuyV that Wells > Greene in general, although match ups can certainly push one over the other.

Eh, OTOH, McCoy's numbers kinda sucked tonight. Maybe I still take Wells.

Chiefs running back Larry Johnson used a gay slur for the second time in as many days Monday, the Kansas City Star reported on its Web site. Johnson refused to speak with reporters Monday, a day after the Chiefs' 37-7 home loss to the Chargers. Sitting in front of his locker, he turned away and muttered the slur in telling reporters to get "out of here," according to the Star, which recorded the comment. On Sunday, Johnson belittled rookie head coach Todd Haley on Twitter in a series of posts that also included the same gay slur. Haley said the Chiefs were looking into "a couple of situations" involving Johnson, but declined further comment. Asked about the slurs, he said the team was "gathering facts." "I will say that how our players conduct themselves with the media and through the media is very important to myself as a head coach, and to the Chiefs as an organization," Haley said.
Based on this I have to think he gets at least a one game suspension. If Jamaal Charles shows any sign of a pulse there's a good chance he takes the starting job. LJ's obviously not the future in KC and the season's already a lost cause so I see no reason not to give Charles a shot. Having said that, their O-line still sucks and all so I don't expect him to do much more than LJ but if you're desperate for an RB this could be your guy.

Wow this week I must have about 20 waiver claims between my 5 teams.
Lots of dudes worth adding suddenly.

I like Greene better than Wells but I agree it's close. The arguement for Wells is that if he continues to progress on his blocking and catching he'll eventually pass Hightower as the #1 back, whereas Greene will just be the #2 back behind Jones. My arguement for Greene is that the Jets run much more often (and more effectively) than the Cardinals and I'd rather have 40% of the Jets rushing game than 60% of the Cardinals rushing game.

I agree. Add to this the age of Thomas Jones and it tips the scale in favor of Greene for me.

It's time for me to cut ties with Fred Jackson. What a painful life since a promising start.

Are his seven weeks. At this point, he's not part any big part of the offense and he won't be going forward. I'm getting Greene/Wells off of the waiver and dropping him. If I can't get one of those two, I might try to pawn him off as part of a trade, considering he's still 19th in RB scoring and somebody stupid might take him.

Along a similar line see: MacGahee, Willis

With Cooley going down last night I am thinking about picking up Marcedes Lewis this week with his favorable match up @ Tennessee. After this week I am not entirely sure what I will do, Fred Davis looked good after Cooley went down is he worth a spot in a 12-team league?

Time to drop Bernard Berrian? Hasn't done much and now he has another hamstring injury. Not to mention Farve has 2 other targets in front of him (if you don't include Peterson)

Looking for a bye week replacement. I know STL SUCKS! but I was looking at Danny Ammendola of the Rams. Returns kicks and is targeted enough. They'll be playing the Lions as well. Worth a pickup or am I a ****ing ******?
