spreadsheet i have for accounting purposes. the number of leagues aren't updated as of this moment and i'll update it at some point tomorrow. will update with rosters before opening day and will update standings and ranks idk, every couple weeks or so maybe?

as of this post i have drafted 202 YPL teams across various buyins. i may do a few more to account for a handful of leagues that were autodrafted or the first 3 i drafted that didn't follow the strategy of the subsequent 199. i didn't want to do DFS and figured that most people worth their salt in baseball strategy wouldn't be wasting their time on this when there's DFS to be played so the fields would be fairly soft. however playing a few YPLs hardly is worth it if the goal is to make money so i figured i'd do 50. then i figured i'd do 100. then i made bets that i could be profitable over 200 so 200 i did. (still taking wagers on this if people wanted to propose anything)

1. i didn't join any roto league. would be too time consuming to be possible
2. no $250 buyins. for one thing they fill fairly infrequently, for another they usually have the same people in it, for another still they're not terrible players. beatable to be sure, but not worth it for purposes of this seeing as how i'd need to win 2 $20 leagues outright + cash a 3rd just to cover the cost of a single $250 league. it's like 10 tabling 25 tabling 10NL with a 26th table of 2000NL when you're going to have the same amount of focus for each individual table.
3. why do this? 3 reasons: 1. i believe sincerely the strategy i'm employing has a decent chance of profitability while requiring (relatively speaking) a minimal amount of maintenance time (which is definitely required if my plan is to do 200 leagues without punting any). and fortunately for me i own my own business and as such time spent at work and time spent setting up my teams aren't mutually exclusive, so even if i spend a lot of hours per week doing this, whatever, i'm at work while i am. 2. wagers. 3. honestly, a little bit of ego. i'm in so many leagues that yahoo's fantasy app doesn't work for me anymore, and as far as i understand not only is this the most leagues anyone has tried to do in a single season, it's the most by a huge amount. would be pretty awesome to do this and succeed. very likely i'll never try this again, but still, why not give it a shot this time and see what comes of it

so we'll see how this goes

This seems like a miserable workload to take on, but like you said, you've got the time. Should be an interesting experiment either way. It remains to be seen but I think you may have hit the jackpot with so much Story exposure. Owning a cheap power hitting Coors shortstop on nearly every team can cover a lot of the mistakes you're sure to make managing 200 teams.

I'm curious, how much is the side bet?

Good luck. This is going to be quite a challenge. I was considering doing like 50 YPL fantasy football teams last year but chose sanity over a bit of EV.

Interested to see how it turns out. My head spins trying to manage 5 teams. Good luck!

Did you split the 200 entries randomly over the various buyins or did you have a certain number of teams you wanted for each buyin?

I wanted to do evenly but that wouldn't have been finished by opening day if i did (drafting on the weekends when most drafts happen wasn't an option). Every 20 fills, most 50s fill and maybe 60% of the 100s fill

I know lineups and injuries and all that may be difficult, but it seems like the edge you'll lose out on most is waivers/FA, having to check 200 every day (or not?). Any plans on that?

part of the reason i'm going with strictly closers for pitching is to allow as big a hitting bench as i can "pickup" speculative hitters in the draft and just hoard them til i need to adjust. it'll be a problem to be sure eventually (i added tyler white in every league i was in yesterday and clocked it just to see how long that process would take me: 57 minutes) but one i'll put off for the moment

Is there any kind of script that can do that automatically?

Wow, I'm so in for following this. No way I could do it without building some type of script that could set my lineups for me, which I'm assuming is doable especially since all teams are on Yahoo.

I can barely keep up with like 3 teams lol. You must not have kids.

This does explain why you're a bit difficult to get a hold of for trades in the TCOF league.
