Cs3 - I really don't like the idea of FA guys being kept at all, that way you can just look at your FAAB and blow it at all during the year.

DD - You think these are overly unique? Again I am trying to keep it easy

Just curious, why not?
In every keeper league Ive been in, some of the best keepers are gys who were picked up mid-season.

Eh fair enough. I could go for a set price ($10 or whatever) if people prefer that. Simple enough, I just didn't want to try and engineer any sort of correlation between FAAB and a salary for future seasons.

Thanks for the feedback

Got a dynasty trade offer today. He offered Mike Fiers for my Justin Morneau. It is a 16 team roto league. My 1B is Goldy and my CI is Napoli.
Pitchers include Price, Greinke, Hughes, Zimmerman, Weaver, Iwakuma, Peavy, Petit.

Since my pitching is on the older side, should I make this deal? Or just keep Morneau?

If you expect to compete I might be inclined to hold. Fiers is 29 and put up great numbers at AAA with his arsenal of pitches. But he's still a fly ball pitcher with a sub-90 fastball pitching in Milwaukee who I think could get exposed and give up too many HR to ever be an above-average fantasy option.

Plus, while yes most of those pitchers are in the 28-32 range, it seems to be decent depth in a 16-team league. Unless you're loaded on offense where Morneau is just surplus, I'd just put him at UT and hope he can continue to give you 130-140 games of solid production.

Thanks for your help. I won the league last year and expect to compete again, especially since I get Goldy back. Do you know much about Kennys Vargas? That is another name he mentioned trading for Morneau.

Not other than what I read, I picked up him late in 2014 on an injury-ravaged team. Scouts seem to like his hit tool.

You're probably giving up some (30ish points?) batting average with him versus Morneau. As long as Vargas gets the at-bats I think he put up comparable R/HR/RBI numbers.

I think there's a non-negligible playing time risk with Vargas just because he's their DH. At best, he plays some 1B if Mauer gets hurt again. So if he struggles at the plate he could see reduced time. I realize that applies to everyone but just seems a little magnified as a DH (for example, Simmons is obviously going to play everyday barring hitting .130). And you have to deal with 10 road inter-league games w/o a DH.

All that said he's 9 years younger. I might do that if the other side sweetened the pot a little bitt

So I traded for AJ Pollock right before the Tomas news broke - I'm ok since he's going to play CF, right?

Gonna bump the baseball thread again. I posted earlier about an offer that was his Kennys Vargas for my Justin Morneau. The guy has been busy, but just now sent another offer. His Vargas and Fiers for my Morneau and Jordan Schafer. Do you take this?

I would take it. Schafer is useless. And none of these guys are going to make a or break a season.
If Fiers really did figure something out last year then he could end up as the most valuable piece in the trade.
