Pending someone else stepping up and agreeing to run it and do escrow I will run the leagues again, last year's thread is here:

There was a brief discussion in that thread but the gist is that I've run it for free for 2 years but am not prepared to give up the hours needed this time without an admin fee. This is set at 2.5% of the total prizepool, buy ins remain the same. If someone reputable wants to run it for free than be my guest...

If you haven't played before, the basic premise is that you select a squad of Premiership players and get points for their performance. I'll be running the leagues at http://fantasy.premierleague.com/. The rules can be found here: http://fantasy.premierleague.com/rules/

I'm going to run the following leagues:

$500 classic

$200 classic

$50 classic

$100 head to head

$50 head to head

$20 last man standing - in the LMS the lowest scoring player(s) for that week (and that week only) are eliminated. The last 2 remaining in week 38 are paid. If we had 39 players then it would be 1 out each week and 2 left in for the final. If there are more then 2 go out for x number of weeks at the start. If less then none go out until week x - I will post a weekly update in the thread showing who is knocked out.


If you haven't entered this league before or don't post on 2p2 very often then please post in the thread first so I can 'ok' you before you send your money. It's nothing personal - we just don't want to be sharked by people with zero poker interest who spend a lot of time playing fantasy football. People with 2015 reg dates and 5 posts don't bother sending! There were lots of begging requests to join last year, don't bother this time, I won't answer them.

If you want to play one of the leagues then send the appropriate money to matt20 on Stars (UK, yellow puppet avatar) by 12am August 7th (the earlier you do it the easier it is for me!). If you leave it until the last minute you will most likely get shut out. Last year was a joke and 20 odd people tried to reg the night before/morning of the comp, please don't do that again.

If you want to pay by bank transfer (UK or Netherlands) then this is ok, pm for details. I'd rather not bother with paypal but if its your only way of paying then I will take it but in POUNDS ONLY, PM for details

Note that if your team does not show up as waiting to join by the time the first games kick off then you will be refunded and deleted from the league once you join. This is to stop someone regging 10 teams week 1 and only joining the league with the highest scoring one. There is a lot of money involved and this rule will be strictly enforced, once you are deleted the site doesn't let you rejoin the league so don't bother complaining.

I held $20k for this league last year and paid out promptly, have also escrowed MSNL March Madness and 12x/LMS before and have a flawless rep so no worries on the money going anywhere.

After you have sent please post the following in the thread:

1) Stars account you sent from (pm if you want this kept private)
2) If you didn't send for all then which ones you are joining.
3) Your team name on the FPL site

Is it possible to have 2 different teams for classic/h2h? When u play with same team is kind a counter intuitive since competition is much different.

I'll be joining 50$ and 200$ classic again (most likely skipping 500$ this year) and only interested in h2h if i can get different team from my classic one

No I don't think so, that goes against the whole embracing the variance that comes with joining a head to head. What would you really do differently anyway? You pick a team to score most points, maybe the last couple of weeks you try and cover your opponenets players if you are battling for 1st but you can't do that all season.

Besides you also open yourself to being angleshot since you have to declare team names to join and since you are breaking FPL's t+cs by having multiple teams you run the risk of someone reporting you (people get mad sometimes!)

There has been for a few years now, it was improved last season and actually pretty decent.

The app is released a couple of weeks after the game reopens usually.

I dont know if its appropriate to post in here and if not then tell me Mic but I am interested in taking part in a £1000 league, is anybody else interested?

Of course, anyone with 2009 reg date and 100 posts is obv fine. Just ask if you have less than 25 posts or a 2015 reg date
