Going QBs with my first two picks is gonna pay off huge.

As a side note, I'm very surprised at how few QBs were picked in the 2 QB draft in the first two rounds. In 2013, 12 QBs were picked in the first two rounds. Nine in 2014 and 6 in 2015.

Six this year. Wonder what changed.

I know, I was wondering what the hell I was going to do expecting the top 5 QB's to all be gone by my pick but I get two of them at 9/12. It's a crap year for QB's but still

As long as I've been playing fantasy football, there have only been 3 QBs worthy of a 1st Rd pick that I can think of. 1 of them is retired now and the other is suspended for 4 games. Just my opinion but I don't think any QB is worthy of Rd 1. The 3 were brady,manning,Brees. I've always built my teams around running backs. I always laugh when people are drafting defenses in rds 4-9 also.

The thing with QBs is at after the first 6 (Newton, Rodgers, Luck, Wilson, Brees, Rape), the differences between the remaining QBs is pretty negligible. On top of that, there's also a significant drop off in talent. So, the difference between a low end QB1 and low end QB2 is lesser than the difference between the top QB in the league and a low end QB1.

As a matter of fact, if Brees wasn't there in the 2nd for me, I probably wouldn't have picked a QB2 until at least the 6th or 7th round, possibly much later than that. Last year there were plenty of QBs that were projected to be low-end QB2 or even backups on 2 QB teams that ended up doing very well.

According to our 2 QB scoring system, Ryan Fitzpatrick was ranked 11th in fantasy scoring in 2015. In the draft that year, he was the 31st QB selected in our draft. Kirk Cousins was ranked 8th but was the 28th QB picked.

Really, getting a strong QB1 followed by a committee for your QB2 could be a valid strategy if you pick well. I think people who picked Derek Carr, Ryan Tannehill or Brock Osweiler in our league are going to be pleasantly surprised. Carr could very easily put up QB1 numbers and Tannehill has a good chance to do so as well yet they were picked 17th and 20th among QBs. Meanwhile, Osweiler was picked 25th and could put up respectable 2nd QB numbers.

What is FAAB bid? I've never seen this in any fantasy football league I've ever played and I've been playing since the early 90s. I put in for a waiver last week and it said I didn't get it cause I lost to a higher bid. Are we bidding money for waiver moves? Does the person who pays the most get the waiver moves?

Everyone starts with the same waiver budget. Highest bid wins the waiver. You run out of waiver money then you can only pick guys up after they clear waivers.

Everyone starts with $100. This waiver format is quite common now a days, at least around here. It levels the playing field, while also adding an additional element of strategy.
