Dk introduced this today so I thought a thread was in order.

If anyone from dk see this you guys should give some kind of points for a draw

I've been betting money line MMA every card for about 3 years.

The sport is so frustrating as a spectator, but I can definitely see these types of DFS events being HIGHLY profitable. Looking forward to playing the Jones/Cormier card on the 3rd.

so, whats wrong with the scoring?

a knockdown is only worth 1 more point than a takedown.

anyone in a 5 round fight is better value because they are less likely to reach a decision for 25 points, and have better than a 0% chance at a rd 4/5. I'm sure this will be adjusted by salary cap, but still.

there's also huge stat adjustments in MMA. Gus lost to Jones despite the broadcast showing this.....

if you look at the stats now, they look nothing like that. so suspect, makes the sport hard to wager on.

sport just seems way way way too subjective to score this way.

Also no points for a draw

albeit unlikely, that's definitely an oversight. scoring like this makes some of UFC's best fighters like Machida obsolete. also, imagine betting on GSP, a guy who hasn't finished a fighter in half a decade, but is considered one of the best.

That's the exact lineup I made for the quarter arcade. Seems like overlap might be a problem.

There's 7 fights on the draftkings card right? Assuming you wouldn't take 2 fighters against each other I only count 672 reasonable lineups (and that's before taking into account salary). Even without the 2 fighters against each other restriction I count 2002 (14 choose 5) possible lineups before worrying about salary. If you throw out lineups that are way over or way under the cap then it would be even worse. Is my math off?

I believe there are 8 fights total, but yeah still way too few. I was already along the same lines of thought, how many lineups is the top 20% of all lineups, just make them all you know?

I see 9 on the website (was on my phone before and could only see 7 on the app).

With 9 fights I count 396 lineups that are between 49000 and 50000 in salary and don't involve two fighters fighting each other.

Fightmetric is the sole provider of these live stats. The went down for about an hour today and scoring should be back but with a delay much shorter than we had previous to their downtime. We hope to have them up to real time soon but it's unfortunately out of our hands.

appreciate the insight! fight metric is definitely the most accurate, but that's terrible news about their downtime. growing pains i guess! thanks for the great event regardless.

www.kountermove.com has been doing fantasy MMA for years & has all the matches to choose from.

Totally agree DK needs to have all the bouts otherwise the prize pool will be split way too much.

Its all about KO or submissions and also picking fighters that will win I think the main event is over rated just cause its 5 rounds doesn't mean its always good to put one or the other in your lineup.

bottom line is you need everyone in your lineup to win
