Well, if the gambling industry has taught us nothing else over the years its that if given a fair chance gamblers will always come back. And this is pure gambling. But when you have a billion $+ industry, no regulations and apparent douchebags running the show it is gonna be rife with corruption, angle shooting and scandal.
If this industry survives it will be under tight regulations and an infusion of grownups will have to start running things. On the plus side there are a lot of big respected corporations and individuals backing these guys. But a gambling concern with billions of dollars of individuals money has to be regulated and managed with the utmost of integrity and that hasn't happened.
I see the future going one of 2 ways. They just squash it because it is nothing more than gambling or they successfully start to run these places professionally with governmental oversight which opens the door to legalize similar gambling ventures like sports betting and online poker.
