I am close to some of the parties involved in the PaddyPower and PlayDraft deal, and frankly, I was shocked when I heard the news. Never expected a top EU sportsbook brand to pick up a turn-based, liquidity, DFS company that has low margins for $19m up front, and 20 more to follow (and not many customers as well!?) Maybe they have alot more traffic than anyone thought, I don't know.

I don't think they do. Never heard anyone mention playing on them.

The owner of PlayDraft is the same guy that owned StarStreet before it went under/was bought by DraftKings. Seems like he cashed out.

The GAME ACT repeals sports gambling prohibition. Will this pass? If it passes, do dfs sites become obsolete as legal bookmakers flood the market with full fledged operations?

I've been giving DFS a rest for several weeks, but thought about making a deposit today, so I went to the deposit page and then decided not to. Not long after that, I get an email from DK saying that they saw I was on the deposit page, but didn't deposit. Creepy.

I like the sounds of this pick'em.

I normally only play football, but with something like this, I could dabble in other sports too, since it gives me the feeling that I would be less of a dog given that format.

i.e. I'm not missing a very obvious lower priced guy that all the experts use for salary relief etc...
