Fading ISU tonight. Mistakes will be made greatly

Someone please tell me what I should have done differently last night because mistakes were obviously made. I wasn't too familiar with any of the teams playing which is obviously not ideal, but I was still dumb enough to think I could build a reasonable lineup. This was on dk:

Aside from a few NFL GPPs which are bound to happen with 20+ lineups a week and using a massive variety of QBs, DEF, and TE in a given week this is by far my worst DFS showing ever and certainly the worst I've ever done with a primary lineup in any sport.

Your team was extremely similar to mine. It looks bad but Mickey and Williams each got 2 fouls in 2 mins in the first half and didn't play an entire half, which will kill you.

Looking bad I had not enough Iowa st. Hornsby was good but qualls disappointed in a high scoring affair.
Even in the night cap, I've learned to fade teams playing top defensive teams and slow paced teams like SDSU. Anderson was on one of mine because he has so many assists but at the same time If they can't score he can't assist.

Last night was weird due to foul trouble by LSU which if you look at stats, Mickey hadn't had 2 fouls in a game all year so lol variance.

Tonight's DK slate is tough imo.
I'm slowly leaning towards a strat of 5 guys from top o/u game then building from there so like a 3/2 stack then 1/1/1 from remaining games. Trying to find a.l cheap starter under 4500k

I'm glad the foul issue was just variance and not something I missed. I was out last night so didn't see the games, but looked at the boxes and minutes were down despite them having 3 and 2 fouls respectively.

I would have faded the SD/SDSU game entirely, but I couldn't find a 2 game stack that I liked much more so meh.

I couldn't fit Niang or Dejean Jones in $ wise from Iowa St and those were the two guys I liked a lot. In retrospect, mistakes were made.

I really do not understand wtf happened with Qualls. Guy gets 37 min in a game with over 170 points and does nothing at all.

Their team is unique with madden qualls and Portis. I equate them fantasy wise to Louisville. You have so many guys that can go off and take over.

Won the 109$ again tonight along with 5th in the 27th but got garbage pointed outta 2nd. Won every hu and 50/50. Sighhh to easy

Beat writers. Even then you won't know. I have a feed of all links to all top 50 CBB forums. But that's why pros hate it, you can't find the info. Yet they birch about NBA when people dont play cause hurt.. Lol

I'm not surprised. If anything, just creates another edge for people willing to do the work to dig up that info.

This is why pros can't play CBB. Requires the simplest of research not just copying one person

How is FD setting the slates? Seems like it is based on games that are on national sports channels. DK is different isn't it?

dk only goes with matchups in the top 25 due to live scoring

Are there sources for this that people are looking at to find hidden plays? I feel like I am getting most of them with thorough research, but then I'll see everyone has some guy that just came back from DL/suspension that I totally missed. Makes me think they are getting the info from somewhere and not doing it on their own.

Not really. Kenpom for the hidden value plays imo. In terms of injuries and stuff it's in the teams forums and boards really. Sometimes a preview writes it up. Also good to know top 25 teams beat writers.

Everyone give up on this thread? Conference play has started, good for traffic. Mashed some buttons and dropped a few tourney entries.
