worth noting that DJL's BABIP sample in the last two years is large enough to have normalized. Seems pretty legit.

Yeah I've also read that his xBABIP and BABIP are basically identical, which supports his average as well.

Worth a shot I think. I would be surprised if he hit more than 25 hr though, and injury is a concern due to his old age. You know what they always say, once you get older its easier to get injured, especially if you have been injured recently, etc. There's younger OFs still in the pool with similar stats but who are on the rise rather than the decline that I like more

Not a great k/9, but solid everywhere else. Not normally a place I'd usually look to grab a closer, but feel there's a group of like starters in this area.

Yeah, like I said, not sure how much I believe in such things, but it feels he's just come through immediately after getting angry SO often. Just ask Darren O'Day. Jose's a spirited dude.

Want consistency here, and he's got 80 rbi and 25 hr in each of the last 6 years. Steamer has him at .270/166/28 and that seems like some pretty good value here

I think CMart is really the end of the good SP tier (along with maybe 1-2 other undrafted) before you run into some combo of performance/injury questions. Over the last two years we're talking almost 400 IP at a 3.05 ERA and 8.6 K/9. He checks all the boxes for what I need given he's my first SP - keeps ratios in line, gets Ks, in NL and should get 14-16 wins.

Davis helps me on the power front since I feel I have fair amount of SB/R so far. .240/30s/90 is fine for me here.

Bats - T Turner, Rizzo, Pollock, Dozier, K Davis
Pitchers - CMart, Jansen, Chapman

with two utility spots i dont mind grabbing another position ive got already. his steamer has .278/159/22 and im happy to grab another respectable average with 20+ homers and almost 160 r+rbi.

nothing flashy on this team so far, but i think the lineup is shaping up to be pretty solid
