Ok several people in the general Fantasy Baseball thread expressed interest in a slow mock draft, like we did two years ago here.

So here are the rules: The draft will be done on the google link below and in this thread. If you would like to be able to edit, pm me your email and I will add you.

The draft order will be first come first serve. This is just a mock, shouldn't be a big deal.

We will be drafting according to YPL ROTO league rules: so 23 rounds:

C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, Util, Util, SP, SP, RP, RP, P, P, P, P, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN

We will start when full. When it is your turn make your pick here and/or in on the sheet and then PM the person next up. All picks should be done in a timely manner. We will not have a time limit. But please attempt to check in from time to time to ensure this moves in a timely manner. If a pick takes longer than 12 hours we will skip and/or pick for him. Its just a mock, lets have fun.

Don't worry, I spent a lot of time researching in advance who to take in the #1 slot of this mock so I will be ready to draft as soon as we fill up.

If we don't find one soon, I can draft two teams.

I'm going to sleep so I'll just post my pick anyway. We can worry about filling the last slot when it gets up to pick i guess.

1.1 - Mike Trout (OF)

Nothing really needs to be said to justify this, but I'll provide a little info just in the spirit of things. Last year he raised his BB% and lowered his K%, resulting in a slight up-tick in average over the previous 2 years (0.315 vs. 0.299 and 0.287) and a large uptick in OBP (and as a result, runs scored). He hit less homers (29), than in the previous 2 years (41, 36), but he stole considerably more bases (30) vs. (11, 16). All the while missing an average of 4 games per year over the last 4 seasons. Clear #1 pick IMO unless your league has an abnormally large emphasis on pitching.
