WW - curious your take on the seattle backfield next year. carson back, davis looking ok but not feature back level imo, + a "healthy" procise + whatever lacy is these days + they still have rawls
Lacy sucks and is probably gone. Carson is JAG. Prosise is probably not on the team next year. Rawls hasn't been the same since his ankle injury. Davis is a 3 down back. I see him make plays every game that make me say "wow". If seattle fixes their OL a little more they could be a top offense next season and that means lots of GL opportunities for Davis if he wins the job. I'd bet on Davis winning the starting job over anybody else currently in the roster.

That Bortles INT at the end of the game is what I'm talking about. He is a horrible QB. He will cap Fournette for years because the Jags made the playoffs. If they had struggled he would have been benched but now the dumbass Jags think they have their QB of the future. Fournette will never hit is peak in this situation.

Doing a playoff league... Pick any 3 QB's, 5 RB's, 5 WR's, 3 TE's, etc. Pretty close to standard PPR scoring. Highest combined total score through the Super Bowl wins so extra games are at premium. Have two decisions I'm struggling with:

Alex Smith or Drew Brees at QB?

Pick two of the following four WR's - Hill/Theilin/Kupp/Woods

I picked him up in 4 of 5 leagues this year and loved him. But there is a pretty small chance I own any of him next year.

I’d def go Brees over Smith. WR is a little closer but I’d roll with Hill and Thielen.

I guess maybe it depends a bit on how big the field is, but I think those guys have the highest ev for sure.

Drafting #6 in playoff league tonight. We do not draft specific positions. If you want to take all WRs you can. Just looking for most points. That being said, QBs and Kickers get the most and most consistent points in fantasy. You'd be amazed at how quickly kickers go if you've never done playoff fantasy. QBs obviously go quick even though it's only 3 for a passing TD. As expected, if your guy loses you lose him. No moves after the draft.

So I pick #6 out of 12. The expectation is that Brady, Ben, Bell, and Gurley go before 6 in some order or another. After that it's looking pretty much like a poop-shoot. Several guys I'm targeting:

Brees
Kamara
Hunt
Gronk
Antonio Brown
Goff

FWIW, Brees outscored Kamara 171-151 this regular season in our scoring system.

Any thoughts on the top 2 choices from the above, or anyone I didn't list?

Is it PPR of any kind?

Turns out we had some surprises in the picks before me. Brees and Kamara AND Gostkowski went in the top 5. So I took Ben. Bell was available too and he went 7th. I ended up kinda loading up on Pitt/KC/Philly with a couple random guys thrown in.

Gostkowski, not Gronk?

Yes. The thing about playoff total point leagues is that kickers get incredibly consistent points. You don't draft them early in regular season league because everyone has to have one. Not in this playoff format. Take 6 kickers if you want. It's not a horrendous strategy. The guy who took Gostkowski typically takes one or two of them early every year. He'd actually rather be at the bookend so he can logically take them with his 1st 2 picks.

Gronk actually went 10th, a little later than I thought. After Bell it went Dion Lewis, Goff, Gronk, AB, and Michael Thomas to end the 1st round.

currently mid draft in a dynasty auction superflex with 4 copies of each player. It's essentially a 12 team league with QB/RB/WR/WR/Superflex/flex/flex/flex/flex and deep benches. .25 for a carry, 4TD -2INT, and PPR (.5RB/1WR/1.5TE). Also has 2 copies of developmental players.

I've been offered about 6 trades and each seems more laughable than the last one. I've never played superflex before (nor a 4 copy league) but wanted a sanity check to make sure I'm not the one misvaluing people.

Trade 1:
his Jared Goff 2019 Dev draft pick round 1 for my Hopkins

Trade 2 (same guy):
his Goff for my 1.26 (essentially a 1.7) draft pick, Lamar Miller, Marvin Jones, and Cooper Kupp

Trade 3:
his Stafford for my rookie 1.26/1.35/1.39 (1.07/1.09/1.10)

Trade 4:
his david Johnson for my 1.19/1.25/1.26/1.35/1.39 and 1.23 DEV pick

Trade 5:
Carson Wentz for the picks above plus Thielen/Kupp

Trade 6:
Kamara for 1.19/1.25/1.26/Kupp/Thielen

The first two probably arent awful in a superflex but the others seem insane

Took me a minute to realize how 1.7 translates to 1.26 - so for trade 3 you'd give up 3 players? Wtf...

Since it's such an unusual format (and there's not much else going on ITT) can you post/link the draftboard so far? Are Stafford-caliber QBs going for like 10% of starting budgets?

don't think their is a draft board I could link to, but most people shot their nut within the first 2 days, and prices have been all over the place. Stafford went for 16.66% of starting budget, 13.4%, 8.66% of budget, and then 6.66% of budget

It is the off-season and there is nothing else to talk about so let me throw out some random hypotheticals. Answer between none and all.

In a 12 team .5 PPR where are you drafting the following players (based off Mel Kiper mock draft)?

1) Saquon Barkley if he goes to CLE after CLE grabs a QB #1 overall
2) Calvin Ridley in CHI

In a newly started dynasty league:
3) Saquon Barkley if he goes to CLE after CLE grabs a QB #1 overall
4) Calvin Ridley in CHI
5) Lamar Jackson in PIT (as suggested in some ESPN article)

So yahoo has compiled some sort of bell curve for fantasy players.

bronze 0%-59%
silver: 60%-80%
gold: 81%-94%
platinum: 94%-98%
diamond: 99%+

Any of you make diamond? I got platinum (which seems about right), figure my bucket list now also contains making diamond and dying as one of the 1% of fantasy football all time greats. That's like going to the fantasy HOF yo.

I made diamond by finishing 1/10, 2/10 and 3/12 but only the 2/10 league was with opponents who had a real clue (2p2 25$ 2QB auction), the other two were reasonably soft and very soft...

Good thing my other league, where i finished 8/12 was on NFL.com Fantasy. Time to retire?
