No, I didn't do that? I do draft ace type starters early and I do want 2 ace type starters and 2 closers in the first 10 rounds though. I got ridiculed because I value "good" pitching and think taking hitters in each of the first 10 rounds in a bad roto strategy. There are always bargain closers in the draft but you never know who. I still don't trust a Coors closer. And I always try to add gonna be closers. But the real quality closers are a nice bump to era/whip/Ks. A bad ratios closer is a mixed blessing.

3 of 4 of my teams are pretty much killing it right now but it is way too early yet.

I realize most are pitcher resistant. And that is fine. Just love the game and discussing it and what works for me. But this is the internet after all so reasonable strategy discussion is not expected and trolling ignorance is.

You're not going to be better than middle of the pack in era and whip with so many starters. A lot of set-up men are going to have better whip, era, and k/ip than the guys who are going to be eating up a lot of your innings.

I also don't think you're going to finish that high up in hr and rbi.

You also don't have to draft closers; you just have to be willing to do the work through the season to get saves and be prepared for that beforehand.
In terms of hitting stats I'm r=11 hr=10 RBI=8.5 right now, given I did just trade Seager and cano, but I feel like I have enough to complete, maybe I'll deal for more power if I see a drop in a month, but even then I get beltre back

A month is probably a good time to reassess. I just think Thames, Conforto, Hernandez, and Owings are on unsustainable power rates.

Streamed Shark instead of Griffin. **** me i'm getting rekt in this QS roto league. Can't buy a QS to save my life. I think I'm going to keep Shark actually because he seems like he can go 6 innings / start pretty easily as many strikes as he is throwing. Just gotta pray to the BABIP gods I guess

I did at first, looked at Giants and saw nothing really updated. Strickland has had no Holds, and Law got the save spot the other day. I lean towards Law for now.

im all aboard the altherr choo choo train. wont lose playing time when kendrick comes back, should remain hitting 2nd in a pretty good lineup, and seems to have changed his hitting approach.

Only been a few games but this is worth noting. K rate for May at 25% compared to 40% in April. Hard hit way up at the expense of soft hit. Seems like he's getting (at least for now) more comfortable at the plate. Snatched him up everywhere I could for now (6/8 leagues)

K% being down has me intrigued. Maybe we are now back into the locked in range as he has "adjusted to the adjustment" pitchers made for him
