HATE both of these trades for you

while obviously thames and haniger are due to regress you can't cash in on them for guys who have such a spectacularly bad injury history

Fly ball BABIP .018
Line drive BABIP .536

He's running bad on all three, GB is in the low .200s and line drives are .650+ usually. Fly balls league average is really bad (like .125) but he will always be much worse given his pop up issue.

If he can get his strikeout rate to the low 20s I think he could be a .240/20 type guy which is still pretty useful at catcher. OBP you gotta stay away unless its a two catcher deal
If he's serviceable in AVG he should be ok OBP as well right? his BB% is above league average right now

conforto has to be the lead dog simply cuz hype + production if nothing else will inflate his trade value. puig and gonzalez are both known quantities with low ceilings and nobody really buys margot

one more thing (lol YPL's): Order these Waiver pickups: Davis, Schwarber, Lester, Turner, Herrera, Tomas, they'd be replacing a mix of Grichuk, Renfroe, Owings, and a streaming SP slot
i don't understand your question

Thinking Conforto and just hoping he plays enough if/when everyone gets back to have it pay off. Sort of indifferent between Puig and Margot after that. AGonz is doing nothing.

As to those other waiver pickups .. wtf. Humor me, which Davis and Turner are available anyway?

He's been under 5% in the majors and AAA right? Am I reading the numbers right?

Yeah, figured Conforto. C Davis, J Turner. They'll all be filling Util slot, unless I want to drop Perez for Schwarber, or drop Bregman for Turner

You're right. Could have sworn he had over a 10% walk rate

conforto might sit against lefties but i would bet the farm against him being on the bench by design against RHP

Also, if anyone sees any updates about ETA on humidor, make sure you let us know. Big for seasonal (MASSIVE for anyone in DFS), but no update outside the "4-6 week ETA" 2 weeks ago. Will be interesting to see how big an impact it will make

Yeah, I don't like either as well. Not sure what other options I have as these are the 2 teams already rebuilding for the future. My pitching is terrible though.

I wanted to wait until Guerra and McHugh came back until I worried too much, but Walker, Nola, Karns, and Tomlin are killing me.

Yes, it actually works fantastically because we have a cap of 9 starts per week for SP.
So everyone is on a level playing field, rather than just having a contest to see who can carry the most pitchers.
IMO this setup reflects real life pitcher value very well - IE pitchers who consistently go deep into games are worth more, and it also really adds to the value of good RPs. (SV+H ftw).
Also adds a nice strategic element with roster construction.

Some owners were skeptical at first but once they saw how well it worked almost everyone loved it.

Do you do anything to prevent people from streaming a bunch of guys on sunday to bypass that cap?
