On another note: a buy low candidate I've been looking for is Carlos Gomez. His babip is 186, but he's been given all the chances by Texas. I expected a short leash when they had DeShields up, but they keep being patient and keeping him in the lead off position. He also has 0 SB so far, but Texas is #10 in the league in stolen base attempts so I imagine that'll change.

I think SRM is onto something regarding Nova/Taillon and the Pirates defense. They misplayed 3 balls this inning. Jaso in the OF just seems sooo bad to me

**** taillon. 1 hitter through 5 with weak contact everywhere and 70 pitches, and he can't even get a QS out of it. Christ

Wandy Peralta quietly dominating for the Reds. May be worth a look in deeper league or even standard leagues for ratio boost. 25% SwStr :O

Of course, Mad Bum is my most owned pitcher so lol

Heyward is going to be terrible forever.

Ok so it would now require 3 grand slams to put me in 2nd to last in RBI in my Roto league, and I'm last in HR and SLG. What should I do?

C - Cervelli (Sanchez replacement)
1B - Goldy
2B - Murphy
3B - Carpenter
SS - Turner (once he gets elig, Motter for now)
OF - Sano
OF - KDavis
OF - Benintendi
UTIL - Moreland
BN - Conforto
BN - Bird (lol)
DL - Sanchez

I don't play Roto a lot do that's why I'm asking but I genuinely though this team should be able to compete in RBI/SLG with the doubles gods that are Murphy and Carpenter and be serviceable to good in HR. Do I try to make some more trades or just wait it out? I'm falling further behind every day, like jesus ****ing christ it's depressing when your team can pop off 3 grand slams and you move from a 1 to a 2 in RBI in ****ing April, that **** aint fun man.

going into tomorrow, ill be down in ERA 4.20 to 3.87 and down in WHIP 1.33 to 1.77

opponent doesnt have anyone but a lot of RPs (miller, herris, phelps, gregerson, butcher, vizcaino)

i have these options to throw tomorrow:

stroman @LAA
lackey @CIN
rodriguez @BAL

throwing any of them out there? right now planning on just stroman, but could be convinced to try lackey too

Depends on how many IP you have this week. I a good start from stroman isn't enough to win you era you may need to start more. I def doubt you can win WHIP at all unless you start all 3 and they dominate.

i have 65 ip, he has 44. so, yeah, would be tough no matter what. i guess starting all 3 as a hail mary couldnt hurt?

With Bedrosian hitting the DL, I don't have a DL spot for him as I have Rich Hill and Desmond on the DL.

In a S+H league, would you drop him immediately for someone like Mike Dunn or Corey Knebel?

Stroman would have to throw 5.1 shutout innings for you to pass him in ERA, assuming none of his relievers get used and none of yours do either. Pretty unlikely. You probably want to at minimum start 2 of them, if not all 3, and hope they post collectively a 2.00 ERA or something. You aren't winning WHIP unless his relievers completely blow-up

Yeah i'd drop him for [best available middle reliever]. No point in wasting a bench slot on a reliever in a SV+HD league unless they are a top 10 or so reliever IMO. Otherwise you can just ride the hot arm, there's always a ton of good options out there.

ITS JUDGEMENT DAY BITCHES!

on another note, Devon Travis and Steve Pearce have a .630 OPS
combined.
how the **** can 2 players in the same starting lineup be THAT terrible?
even worse, I've forced to start these two clowns in my 20 team dynasty. Its gotten so bad that I just made the switch to Danny MF'ing Espinosa at 2B and it feels great.

16-team standard 5x5. Need pitching badly:

Thames for Salazar and Betances

Or

Haniger for McCullers and R. Iglesias?

80% sure whoever I pick up will have their arm fall off in 2 weeks.

Roto is a marathon and not a sprint. Plus it is way early. I wouldn't panic too much at this point. Hopefully you are doing well in other areas. But keep an eye out for waiver bargains. The only thing I ever worry about is getting buried in avg, whip and era since once those go bad it is harder to catch up but especially whip and era because you only have so many innings and once you have too many bad ones it is very hard to undo.

Judge's plate discipline numbers fascinate me. I'm skeptical he can maintain them but if he can look the hell out cuz I fully buy the iso. Maybe not .386 but with his power and that stadium > .300 is realistic
