Since the league is so shallow my ultimate plan with my 3rd OF or UTIL slot is to play it kind of like DFS and pick up a hot bat or good matchup (there are unlimited roster moves). I think my leak right now is with the unlimited roster moves a decent amount of teams are unloading a couple of players a day to stream or cycling bench bats back and forth like crazy. My problem is that none of my pitchers are really droppable IMO, so i'm trying to sell some of them but it's tough. I'm gonna be trying to trade up all year with 2 for 1 deals to get more studs because I think a stud+streamer in this league is gonna be far better than 2 above avg players.

Pick up D'Arnaud while waiting for sanchez to come back or stick with castro?

Looking for a reason souza's k rate can be sustainable at 25 or below and feel like I'm really reaching to get there

As best I can tell right now there are 3 things working for him, all relatively minimal year over year improvements but combined add up to a big improvement

1. He's missing less
2. He's swinging less outside
3. He's swinging at more strikes

The problem is the differences are so small that it's damn near impossible, especially now, to say 'he figured it out!' as opposed to just waiting for the other show to inevitably drop. Apparently he had a new hitting instructor in the offseason but still

In all seriousness, I would research whether you can vote against your own trade, and make sure to publicize the trade to maximize the chances of others vetoing it.

I'm not sure how basic I should get in explaining why it's so bad, but in fantasy baseball you have to think of players in terms of replacement value. Healy and McCarthy offer little value better than whatever the best player you can find on the waiver wire is; Kyle Seager offers huge value. Like five times more than the other two combined. And even if Healy becomes a stud or whatever you should have to give up a lot less to get him.

Also, in FBB, two nickels don't equal a dime (let alone two pennies in this case). You are going to have to drop a player now that you have these two. How much of an upgrade will Healy or McCarthy be over the guy you're going to have to drop? The guy you're dropping will now be the best guy on the waiver wire in theory. And on top of that, if there's a call up or whatever, you won't have the roster space for that anymore and you'll have to drop someone even better.

FBB is an exercise in acquiring the highest concentration of premium assets on your roster as you can. You very VERY rarely want to be giving up your premium assets (Seager) for more expendable ones. You normally want to be getting the one good player out of a 2-1 trade, and then freeing up roster space to speculate on guys with very high upside; that's how you win leagues.

I'm sorry if I'm being too condescending, but there have been some bad trade proposals mentioned here lately and some people who say they're new to FBB. This is a primer to anyone new to FBB thinking about doing a 2-1 trade.

This is literally my first league haha. I didn't accept it yet. I kind of posted it here to get a reaction to see if it was a good trade or not.

Thank you though.

One of my leagues is a 6 man 7x7 H2H league with 12 keepers per year. I acquired this team after the guy was kicked out for inactivity and I am very much behind the ball. I need to rebuild and get a lot younger I think.

Does anyone have some advice for where I should start? I feel like I have some very good pieces in my offence, but I am no where near the power of other teams in the league. I also think my pitching needs to be upgraded, not sure where to start or what to offer to get younger while upgrading my SP position.

Here's my roster:
C Posey
C Castro
1B M.Cabrera
1B Goldy
2B Odor
2B Dozier
3B Seager
3B Sano
SS Crawford
SS Diaz
OF Myers
OF Duvall
OF Marte
OF Haniger
OF Yelich

BENCH Frazier
BENCH Polanco
DL JDMart
NA Amed Rosario

SP Kluber
SP DeGrom
SP Salazar
RP Oh
RP Ramos
RP Allen
Lester
Tanaka
Paxton
Fulmer
Castilla
Rosenthal
Roark

I realize this is a very broad question and might be tough to answer.

Dropped Thames last week, oopz.

Bird drew a walk today! Inciarte and Fowler both available but I'm holding so far...

Mookie Betts last struck out September 12th, 2016. He might hit .340 this year.

As buy low candidates go I don't think there's a better one than bregman. Starting to see him outright dropped which is so insane to me

His plate discipline and pitch selection if anything has gotten better, and while he's making bad contact right now and hitting far too many ground balls don't forget his first week when he was called up last year he was the worst player you've ever seen. He'll right the ship

In a vacuum this is an accept right? But...

I hesitate bc its a keeper league, and Goldy is a 1st rounder. next year I would have to cut him (or cut Harper).
Springer can be kept next year in the 2nd rd and Peraza in the 9th. That stuff doesnt matter as much to me though - Im trying to win this year.

I would go from starting Springer, Bregman, and Peraza
to starting Goldy, Domingo Santana Aaron Judge, and Owings

Would my lineup even be improving?
Anyone have thoughts on this one?

I don't think your lineup really improves. But, you should be able to improve it with another trade (either Goldy or Harper) for two guys better than springer and Pereza. Feel like getting a top 5 player for springer and a guy who might be on waivers in a month in a snap

Greg Bird is gonna be the death of me. I know as soon as I drop that mother****er he's gonna have a 3 homerun game. I'm just going to keep him on my roster until he gets sent down to the minors next week to be safe, but jesus christ this guy looks totally lost. The only thing I have to say positive about him in the past two days he drew a walk each game and didn't strike out ever at bat

So, in other words, he looks like Ted Williams compared to Mike Zunino?
