Sexy. Jason Castro just released in my league. I have #7 waiver claim, but I'm pretty sure my league is sleeping.

I have an offer of his Goldschmidt for my Springer + Peraza.
In a vacuum this is an accept right? But...

I hesitate bc its a keeper league, and Goldy is a 1st rounder. next year I would have to cut him (or cut Harper).
Springer can be kept next year in the 2nd rd and Peraza in the 9th. That stuff doesnt matter as much to me though - Im trying to win this year.

I would go from starting Springer, Bregman, and Peraza
to starting Goldy, Domingo Santana, and Owings

Would my lineup even be improving?

I vaguely recall some article on Sano moving his hand placement and shortening his swing this offseason soooo....seems legit

CarGomez has a .165 AVG but a .800 OPS. still leading off despite the early season futility. i'm watching..

Definitely looked good, although anyone facing Anibal Sanchez looks good

It's so weird. They even kept DeShields on the roster, and then never play him.

Villar off to a Buxtonian start.

You can shrug off the lack of SB and hits as a slow start, but that 15K:1B ratio is godawful and points to something more troubling than a simple slump.

One of two main things over the offseason was that I was concerned about Kluber for a number of reasons. Klubers fVA so far this year is 89. It was 92.1 last year and had been decreasing each year over the last 3. His hard hit % so far this year is 45.9 % (it had also increased each of the last 3 years).

I know it's early, I don't expect him to be this bad. But I think if you can get value around where you drafted him this year you really should take it.

I think Giancarlo might be the third best hitter on the marlins

Riding Greg Bird all the way to dead last in RBI and HR in my roto league. When is it acceptable to rage drop? Its a shallow 12 teamer, start 10 hitters

Depends who else you pick up, I'm fine with leaving him on bench until he looks better

My bench bat is Trea Turner =\. I'm getting killed due to a combination of bad luck and just not enough raw ABs to compete in RBI

I mean, is this a team in theory that I should expect to compete in RBI with, or should I try to make some trades:

C. Leon (Sanchez DL)
1B. Goldy
2B. Murphy
3B. MCarp
SS. Semien (Turner DL)
OF. KDavis
OF. Benintendi
OF. Souza
UTIL. Bird

I think you just hold onto Bird, unless theres something better, which seems unlikely. You've got 2 of your best hitters out in Turner/Sanchez, not stunning that you'd be lower in RBI's, and it's only been like 1.5 weeks so far

The Sanchez and Turner injuries are really hurting your counting stats so not too much you can do there. Soua is hot right now, but longterm i dont think Id want him starting for me in a league that shallow.. Id be looking to upgrade my OF before dropping Bird.
I think of K.Davis as more of an OF2, or maybe even OF3. Really strong in 1 category, solid in RBI, but just average to bad in R/AVG/OBP/SB

ideally you could package Bird + an OF, for a better OF + whatever (realistically only something you would drop)
