Ive got
1. Trout
2. Arenado
3. Betts
4. Goldy
5. Bryant
6. Altuve
7. Donaldson
8. Machado
9. Rizzo
10. Kershaw
11. Bro
12. Miggy

You def don't want to be picks 11 or 12 this year. Seems like a ton of the second round guys are super risky

Hundley signed by the Giants.
I never take Posey, but this should drop him down/scare people a bit. Seems like Posey should get some more rest this year

He might get more rest as in less time behind the plate and extra time at 1B, but I really doubt his plate appearances will take a hit

More news:

Urias could start in extended ST to lower his innings and keep him around for end of year
Holland to COL, seems like they're really making a push. Not sold on Story and how he'll bounce back from thumb injury (and hitting 7th??), but Murphy is a very intriguing C to keep an eye on

Yeah I've got Murphy pushing top 10 at catcher if he's their main guy (400+ PA). He's going to strike out a lot but I think the Coors BABIP will save his batting average. I could see a .260/18-20hr line with decent RBI in that lineup.

The o-ranks are the stupidest things I've ever seen

Are you looking on yahoo? I don't think their ranks are updated, and still on 2016, but not really sure. Either way, their ranks tend to suck, especially early on

Could see that being the value they produced last year.

Ya I'm fading story and Dahl this year. So much not to like considering their likely ADPs

I figure it's 6 story 7 Dahl but man. He could lead the majors in RBI or hit .200 and neither would surprise me

What do you mean 6 story 7 dahl?
Story's going around pick 44, Dahl 85. Story I'm a bit worried bouncing back from thumb injury, Dahl I think I'm avoiding but OF falls off a bit after him, in a weird grouping

Got ya, rosterresource is actually thinking Dahl 6th/Story 7th, which is interesting. I expect Story to have little power early on, so makes sense to start him there, but doubt he ever hits above 6th which sucks, but isn't the worst.

If you don't expect Story to hit HRs early, don't draft him. Trade for him in mid-May.

(personally, I'm all over him)

Yeah, it's just how fast he'll bounce back from thumb surgery really.

When Harper had it, he had it early in season, came back and hit 12 more HR's in 76 games, his lowest SLG so far in his career that season, even worse than last year.
Pedroia had it in 2013, had surgery in offseason (November), and had his lowest career SLG/OPS the next season.
Harrison had it in 2015 midseason, hit 0 HR in the 39 games he came back that season, and his SLG/OPS in 2016 declined as well (although who knows how good he really is)
Phillips had it in 2014 midseason, came back and had 1 HR in 35 games.
Simmons bounced back well last season, but only 4 HR (his SLG/OPS right around career avg, but never really power guy)
Josh Hamilton had it in 2014, had career low SLG when he came back.

It seems like this type of injury is a slow come back, but it's not a big sample size, and hard to say how youth will impact it, since most were older (Except Harper). Either way, I worry a lot that his power will be impacted for the first half of season at least.

Also, maybe there's more examples, but these were the main ones I found. And maybe there's metrics to look at, but just from my quick research and remembering these injuries, it just worries me so much, especially from a rookie.

If Bro's ADP falls out of the first round that's one thing, but if it doesn't (and assuming he's healthy) I got anyone but bro at 2 as an enormous mistake. Before he ****ed up his shoulder he was performing otherworldly and that was with noted luminaries Ben revere and something else batting in front of him

Harper is 10 and Scherzer is 15. Where do you see 41?? Max finished #2 last year, but Harper was #94 so not sure where you see that.

Yahoos ranks overall actually seem pretty decent imo. At least in the top ~50 I haven't found too many that I strongly disagree with, and since ADPs on yahoo follow their rankings so closely I dont see a ton of picks/players that can be exploited early in drafts. At least not with my first quick glance through

Oh the app.... is usually trash. Haven't even bothered to DL it the past 2 years bc there's always been so many issues with it, from not saving lineups to unintended drops and trade acceptance

One thing I dont get is, why is Trea Turner ranked #14 overall, while Villar is down at #46? Im not very high on either guy, but if everything goes as the optimists expect aren't these two basically the same player? One is ranked nnear the 1/2 turn and the other at the 4/5 turn. Why the 3 round discrepancy?

( fwiw Im not saying I dont want them on my team, just that I'm not expecting Villar to repeat 2016 and I think expectationa on Turner are pretty outlandish)

Everyone who drafts turner will be competing for third at best. This guy is going to disappoint. I'm shocked people are taking him near the turn
