Anyone got their eyes on Devenski for RP?

And avoid the hype on Headley or take him off FA?

Suggesting Headley has a pulse is hyping him, really.

7R, 2HR, BA .375 I don't think is that bad for someone FA in a 14 person league.

Dyson out as closer. Bush/Jeffress/Barnette committee is in. Have fun with that.

Bunch of high-K holds guys available that should have good ratios like:
Rosenthal, Phelps, Glover, Dunn, Knebel, Wilson
(Bush already owned)
Definitely droppable in SV+HD, plenty of better options

Small sample, Headley should fall back to earth soon

Bush out until Friday at least, got injection in shoulder for some minor pain (had it last year as well)

Never trust closers who can't get strikeouts has to be the safest rule to live by

Bush is the only one of those options I think can take the role full time

In h2h 5x5 dynasty, I'm looking at adding a hitter and bullish about some of these guys. Position isn't as big an issue for me, so that aside, help me sort a relatively arbitrary list of:

Rizzo, freeman, Stanton, d Murphy, rendon, Brantley

That's how I see them ranked but all have question marks for me

Edit: I guess rizzo isn't a question mark, per se, just curious how big a gap there is between him and the others

Rizzo
Freeman
Murphy
Stanton
Brantley
Rendon

Freeman and Murphy are damn close

How bullish would you be on Brantley or Stanton?

And Donaldson sort of feels between rizzo and Murphy, right?

Matt Bush out with shoulder pain, not available for at least a few days. Could be extended absence.
LOLtexas bullpen

Said he had similar pain last year, got injection and was back a few days later. Not worried

in a league with obp and total bases instead of batting average do you guys prefer haniger or broxton

i don't need steals at all if that matters

Well a big part of Broxton's value should be his steals, so if that doesn't matter then it should comfortably be Haniger

seems like very few of the top 30 hitters have done much of anything so far

In trade negotiations, what do you think about giving

JD Martinez, who can be kept for free forever,

for

Corey Kluber, who can't be kept.

I currently lead the league in R, HR, RBI, and SB, but that's mostly due to notably streaky guys having fast starts (Ozuna, Duvall, Hamilton, Judge, etc.)

I already have a pretty great staff headlined by Kershaw, Verlander, Hendricks, and Tanaka.

Is this the kind of win-now move I should be considering? JD's not that young and is currently hurt.

Not a chance, should be able to get a ton more for JD mart who is just now breaking out even though he's not super young.

I would do this for an unkeepable bum or scherzer only

Or trade him for a younger pitcher who can be kept with upside like archer or Cmart

Like who? Many have been fine, and it's barely into the season

Do you think JD's over, say, 33 home runs, if he's back May 1?

JDM took BP today, they're saying he could be back in a week against the Rays
Could definitely hit that if he's fine when he comes back and play all year

Anyone who has Murphy > Donaldson right now is legit insane and I say that as someone who loves Murphy

I'm bullish on both Brantley and Stanton but i will never ever ever trade for either. Especially Stanton

Yeah Donaldson is much better than Murphy.

Cano, X, E5, Villar have also been terrible
