I've been watching his ABs just to see if there's anything to look at that inspires having patience and there isn't. He is absolutely lost at the plate and needs to be sent down bad

.347 BABIP last season (when he was pretty good already) and the defense is significantly improved from last year. He's for real

yea for pitchers i bet there'll be so many cases where they only miss 1 start. for position players it's a bit more meaningful

Think it's better, rather than having to sit and wait for a week and guess when they're coming back, knowing 10 days min is very nice

Im all aboard the Paxton hype train. I def wouldn't trade him for either of those 2 - the upside is just too valuable.
His stuff is filthy and the only thing thats really held him back is health imo. In the past walks were a bit of an issue but he cut his BB rate to under 5% last year which is fantastic. K:BB was just under 5:1 which is also in the elite tier of starters. Check out this leader board to see just how good he was:

If he does something similar over 180-200 innings hes a top 12 SP.
And with his 11.7 SwStr% he can easily bump his K rate with better pitch sequencing and/or 2 strike execution. The ceiling is sky high.

I know its only a week, but Lindor is really flexing. Hit his 4th HR already today and is racking up the counting stats. The top of that Clev lineup appears to be really good and will only improve once Kipnis returns.
Going to be interesting to see which of Lindor/Machado/Correa finish as the most valuable fantasy commodity.

yea that's pretty elite company. i remember he was really good later last year, hitting 100 at times, and was just getting babip'd a few times

anyone know where i can find the % of pitch type thrown? it was noted that Pineda was throwing noticeably more changeups yesterday. want to see his historical usage of his Cu vs the fastball and the slider

If you click on results and averages, in his good game, the changeup he gave the HR on, and his cutter improved more. But maybe it's due to more changeups? idk

Cutter was up more than 1 MPH, VMov over 2 inches more, but overall all pitches were faster and had more Vertical Movement

this is really neat, thanks Donk. all of those may be true, and it also seems to be true that the changeup usage was appreciably higher last game vs his first. Could have just been his pitches being more crisp in general in addition to the mix being higher and that was throwing the batters off balance. could also be just overanalyzing, but I'll be watching with interest re: his pitch usage

Just came to post about Dyson.
In a Saves+Holds league is this clown droppable? He doesnt contribute in K's so if hes blowing up ratios its not worth the saves.
Bunch of high-K holds guys available that should have good ratios like:
Rosenthal, Phelps, Glover, Dunn, Knebel, Wilson
(Bush already owned)

I'd pick up rosenthal before I worry about the Rangers situation. Every option in Texas is pretty bad and Oh has been under the radar terrible
