everyone has had mad injuries boys, literally every team in every league has dealt with injuries.

obviously some teams more than others, but as a whole DL visits are way up cause of the 10 day vs 15 day.

Inflammation in shoulder, and also mentioned he felt fatigue in his shoulder 2 starts ago (when he started to suck). Sounds likely to only miss 1 start

Increased DL10 use for pitchers only matters if teams are actually skipping a lot more starts than they used to. There have been some flimsy DL trips for sure (Maeda a month ago, for instance), as teams may be using the DL to subtly manage their rotations more aggressively. But pitchers would miss starts and be DTD for a week or so all the time in years past, and you didn't have the option to put them on your DL. Now that option exists.

I think the bigger problem wrt pitching is that home runs on contact are way way up, meaning that high K elite pitchers are suddenly far more valuable and a lot of solid pitchers in past years are now trash. People are having a hard time adjusting to the types of pitchers they need to be starting.

I think teams are a little more aggressive with offensive players who they anticipate will be out more than a couple days and put them on the DL so they can use that slot and not suffer too much if the player gets healthy after 6 or 7, but the impacts of that are probably pretty marginal. How many good offensive players are actually on the DL right now who are really healthy? How many more days on average is an old DTD stint made by the presence of the DL10? Like 3 or 4?

It seems more likely there have actually been a lot of high profile injuries this year, but I haven't seen any actual data on this. Just talking out of my ass here.

Anyone have any specific thoughts on Benintendi? Trying to acquire a SP which seems all but impossible this season and other guy was asking about him. This is a keeper league (12 team roto) where I can keep Benintendi in the 13th round thru 2020 if I wanted to.

Zimmermann with 3 straight good outings, including @BOS and vARI. Said to have "found" his slider again, and has been looking a lot better. Keep an eye on him in case he keeps it up, could be back into Nats form again.
