If price is right I guess .. but LA is gonna have next to zero to play for in September and best case seems like he gets a few 4-6 inning outings in your playoffs to get ready for the postseason.

Bradley Zimmer doing work in that leadoff spot. Looks like a guy who could become prime Carlos Gomez rather quickly, but with way better plate discipline than Gomez ever had.

Lots of butthurt in one of my leagues because the teams that are out of it are "dumping" their good players in order to gather quality keepers for next season. Currently the only measure we have that discourages this is you get a better draft position for finishing higher (1-3 get paid, 4th gets first pick choice next season, then 5th etc). Anybody have any interesting rules that helps with this situation? FWIW I'm one of the dumpers, but I understand why the guys in second and third are sad that the guy in first now has Bryce Harper.

I used to run a casual league in which I had a 20 point (roto) lead on July 31st 2015 and traded a bunch of top dollar stars for the second place team's $1 Bryce Harper, figuring I'd lose some of my lead but help my team for 2016. The guys in 3rd and 4th loudly complained and called it collusion. I ended up winning by two points and folded the league up, even though I was set up to completely dominate the next season. Barely talk to them anymore.

The rule: Fantasy isn't fun if people are too dumb to understand the strategic ramifications of your trades and friendships are generally too valuable to waste over that kind of pettiness.

by dumping, you still mean trades right? not just outright dropping?

Right. There were a bunch of players in my trade, but the centerpieces were Harper for the rest of the season goes to him, and I get Trea Turner and get to keep him in the 10th round next year.

Best solution if you don't like that kinda stuff is to not play in keeper leagues. That's a large part of the point/strat of them. I mean I understand why some people might not like that aspect, but just make it a redraft then.

They can offer better trades than the guy in first. Any keeper league has the now vs later issue. Implementing rules that prevents people from doing what's best for them is silly. Understand that keepers are extremely valuable to those out of it and make some deals next time.

tl;dr - tell em to ice up son

Kluber has been so good since returning. His velocity is down (as was the trend) but I guess I just overestimated the negative impact of that. To think I was feeling good the first 6 weeks on that prediction

One thing we do in my league is give a payout to most points gained in 2nd half of season with top 2 excluded. It gives some incentive to not completely quit

Went from having Roto league locked up to having 2 straight 9+ ERA starts (taillon yesterday, darvish today). As a bonus, I benched Nola and Shark today. Went from 3.3 season ERA to 3.7

Taillon and Darvish starts back-to-back increased my season ERA from 3.3 to 3.7 and dropped me 6 roto points

Last night? I have Price on one of my teams and am a Red Sox fan and learned of his injury by reading your post just now. When was it first reported?

Its maybe a bit scummy if he did know, but thats on the other manager for not doing his due diligence prior to finalizing the deal.

The only time I would consider reversing a trade like that is if the trade was sent by the Marte owner, and then accepted by the Price owner AFTER injury news breaks. But since you didn't mention any of that I assume thats not what happened
