Eric Longenhagen (notoriously tough grading Fangraphs scouting/prospect writer) pegged him as 60 hit tool, 60 raw power, and a 60 runner in the offseason and he has exceeded all expectations since then

Might not even be up this year, but he started the year in High A having just turned 19 years old and put a 134 wRC+over .
Was promptly promoted to AA and has been even better, posting a 148 wRC+ over 155 PA's.
Overall since getting to A ball late last year he has 11 HRs, 43(!) steals, an avg over .300 and a respectable walk rate around 8% over 452 PA's.
Small sample yada yada but for a 19 year old thats pretty amazing and he is going to shoot up prospects rankings when they all get updated this summer. Buy/add now if you can, because he will be a hot commodity very soon.

Wilmer Flores homered again, regularly slotting into 2-4 in the lineup, and has played 5 games at 2B so far (twice in the last 10 days). I'll say it again: he's looking like a solid super utility option for the second half.

Assuming they aren't counterfeit knockoff players and you're just misspelling them, then in a vacuum it's fine. Mostly a question of whether you need flawed but valuable pitching or flawed but valuable offense.

is there any appreciable difference between the two trades? as i said above goldys steals are not too necessary for my team as i'm leading the league and have pollock and marte coming back plus i'm somewhat concerned for the humidor but at the same time that diamondbacks lineup is pretty potent and pollock coming back...assuming i am set on making one of these trades for an elite pitcher which one would you guys prefer?

personally i think the difference between goldy/votto is bigger than the difference between sale/scherzer, so id deal votto and get sale

Steals aside, Goldy is also probably good for 10-12 more R and RBI over the rest of the season, but I would prefer Scherzer based on league/division.
He has a lot more favorable matchups over the summer and down the stretch in places like Miami/NYM rather than at NYY/Orioles.

If your offense is really that far ahead, it shouldnt matter which one of Goldy/Votto you deal. Out of curiosity, who is going to be replacing the hitter you decide to trade? Do you have another guy on you bench to plug in, or grabbing someone off the wire?

10 h2h so currently i always start sanchez/goldy//trea turner/story/rendon/bellinger/conforto/ozuna

then 2 utility spots are votto/and one of schebler/h-ram but i have pollock coming back and marte eventually

my starting pitchers are berrios/verlander/tanaka/cole/paxton/wood with brach/bush/reed/khanle as relievers and salazar on DL

now that i'm typing this i think maybe it is better to just stand pat and roll with what i have and hope a couple of the starters break out plus wouldn't it be easier in h2h to sort of just hope to get lucky on a pitching category in the playoffs if i need to? the guy who has scherzer also has kluber and greinke so his pitching is head and shoulders above mine but i could probably win on saves. he is in 2nd place. only 24 innings pitched minimum so i thought elite pitchers would have some more value

basically if this was roto i would be 7th or 8th in almost every pitching category except for saves looking at the team stats

LOLsamplesize and all, but a month into his MLB career Bradley Zimmer is pacing 72 R, 137 RBI, 29 HR, 43 steals, .277/.361/.507
And thats batting 7th-9th in the order. Seems like a fantasy stud in the making, especially in OBP leagues.
