The first team I drafted/posted. It drew a lot of scorn
Currently in first place.

Hitter over scherzer, anyone over Blackmon, chapman or Jensen over Lester, Watson isn't the official closer yet, and ya Hendricks in the 5th is unforgivable
Yeah Blackmon HUGE mistake
In this seasons pitching landscape Scherzer/Lester/Hendricks/Watson all positives.

Holy **** this team is bad, would be shocked if you finished top 6.
Hendricks in the 5th is mind numbingly bad and I'm assuming you picked Blackmon over Harper or Rizzo which is incredibly bad as well.
You are going to finish bottom 3 in homers and RBI
Team is top 3 in all offensive cats except HR (7 points) which is middle of pack.
It is still very early but things are starting to take shape. Especially in roto. But my point is managing is much more important than drafting. A good portion of the drafted team (all of the last 10 picks) is already gone and replaced.
DL - Eaton
drops - Mauerer, Fowler, Gattis,, Miller, Beltran, Kiermeier, Walker, Brach, Gomez, Hudson
adds - Hedges, Castro, Shaw, Alther, Suarez, Schebler, Haniger (DL), Devenski, Bradley, Knebel, Hand, Rivero (I move back end (non closer) bullpen pieces often)
Worst category is wins (only 4 points) which I don't worry about since with proper pitching management I will be able to rack more wins in last month when I start streaming for more innings and much of the league will be disinterested and capped at innings.. I always consider wins a catch up category.
My 4 teams are currently 1st, 1st, 1st and 6th. All drafted with a similar drafting strategy. The 6th place team has an uphill battle but isn't buried anywhere. It has suffered the most injury issues which is why it is underperforming.
Once again the point is that good active management and waiver wire awareness greatly trumps whatever happened in the draft as long as your first few picks don't totally **** the bed. I still think finding/getting pitching that doesn't kill you is the key to success. Everybody hits! All of my leagues still have reasonably decent hitters still sitting on the wire that I would be comfortable plugging in if need be. That is not the case with SPs but there are always a few quality non closer RPs to be had.
