Pearce hitting 7th. Not ideal but it's against an RHP AND he's starting at 1b so any concern he's a platoon of any kind should be right out the window

not that i'd draft him unless it's with the last pick but he's by all accounts healthy which would (barring him getting hurt) make him an amazing bargain

The commish has to enable the setting first. It is turned off by default.
When you add the player Yahoo will show a message that you have an empty DL/NA slot and therefore do not have to drop anyone.

Well looks like we have our closer answer in Colorado (Holland). A buying opportunity for Ottavino if dropped IMO

Guerra to DL (probably not too relevant)
Verlander/Quintana pushed to tomorrow's game
Haniger hitting 2nd
Thor's next start pushed back a day due to blister

Who might be next up after grilli in Toronto? That osuna neck injury is scary considering I made a trade to get him in my dynasty league

Think Grilli will still have the job, but it'd be Howell or Smith after him. (Though really, at that point, I think Gibby would just play match ups). Osuna's back after 5 more games though. Very precautionary DL stint so he could stretch out at his own pace.

Also, some bad news going around on Seth Lugo. Nothing definitive, but new MRI was done, now seeing second opinion on elbow.

I don't think so...think Gibby will lean towards the others' experience.

Angels are using a "closer by committee" per Mike Scioscia.

Unfortunately (as a Cam owner) I believe him. A goober for a manager, and while LA doesn't seem to be the most analytic minded organization (to put it kindly), any idiot like me can figure out that if Bedrosian has a great 2017 as the closer its just going to drive up his arb salaries. So I could see them giving Street every chance to close once he's healthy until he proves he's no longer a viable option.

Pretty crazy first 2 days of the season for closers... seems like things get murkier and murkier every year at the start of the season for all the non-elite options

Ha, im trying to rationalize my not very well thought out strategy of not drafting any closers across all my leagues

Jeanmar Gomez already on the hot seat in Philly. Mackanin had 2 guys warming up behind him in the 9th yesterday. Neris is obviously their most talented reliever but I wouldnt be surprised to see Benoit as next up.

From what I have read they may try to keep Neris out of the role because of salary arb which seems like a dick move but it is a business. I have shares of both Neris and Benoit. Neris is a great plug in RP even without saves because of the positive influence on whip/era and a high K rate.
