It's solid. Need more help at RB and you can't do much with your WR7, IMO. Any handcuffs/lottery tickets out there at RB?
Alfred Morris? Jerrick McKinnon? Tevin Coleman maybe?

Solid. 6 of first 7 look real good (def too early for DWill imo) and Eli in 11 is nice. That Willie Snead pick is almost certainly spew, and the VJax and Wallace picks both look pretty poor too. If I get 3 solid WR's like that, I'm def not picking 4 more. Hurns was fine but pick some RB's at 9/12/13 imo or at least some young WR's with high ceilings instead of old, low upside guys.

Now that's a lot of lol for one draft...live drafts are the best

6, 10 and 9 in that order are top 3 imo. Pretty much a ****show after that.

Any insights? I agree with the ranking, but I want to know what mistakes you see. Again, I've never done this format before and want to see if anything stands out.

I'm team 10 BTW. Team 11 is a former NBA player

Idk, too many mistakes to really count, guy starting with 4 RB's, guy drafting ARod with the 3rd pick (and then Brady in rd 6 wtf), QB's D's and K's way too early all over the place, etc. Format doesn't seem too unique to me.

If you give me a specific team I can critique their draft, tough to just critique the whole thing.

12 team, PPR, QB/3WR/2RB/Flex/K/Def, thoughts?

My first thought is this team was probably auto drafted. Pretty much the all over-valued team. Barnidge in 5 seems particularly bad in this format, and K and D are offensively early. Also Bruce Ellington is out for the year.

Way too early on TE,K,DEF. For a PPR league where you can (and should) start 4 WRs, your WR corp is weak.

Thanks:

I am team 10.

I have never played in a 6tp passing TD league before, and I have never played in this league before. I was told these guys were competent players.

I think I got shook a bit when Rodgers went in first round. My first reaction was "huge mistake" but then I was worried that maybe I underestimated the 6 point passing TD.

So, adjustment 1: There was a huge run on RB's early:

Round 1: chalk by taking Hopkins;
Round 2: Assumed there would be plenty of WR talent on the board when it came back, so I took Bell there.
Round 3: (this is the adjustment): I took Luck here. Was I over valuing the 6 pt passing TD? My thinking was there were still a ton of WR's on the board and the RB options were already thin. I wanted to get ahead of a QB run knowing I had solid WR's in the 4th Round.

Adjustment 2: I don't take backup QB's, but again, because of the fact I never played with these guys before and because of the 6pt TD pass, I thought a backup would be important.

Adjustment 3: Unless it fits my team, I don't take a TE until very late. Here, because I didn't know these players well, I panicked a bit and took a TE in the 10th and then took a flyer on another TE later because I was not sure if these guys would snap up all the TE's. In retrospect, I am sure this was a mistake.

Anything else? After looking over this draft, I can see this is an exploitable league.

Yes, you were over valuing the 6 pt td. All qb's get that bump, so the main difference it makes is decreasing the value of QB's that run for TD's like Cam and Tygod.

Let the other guys overvalue qb's and scoop up the value that comes from this, don't fall into the trap of going with the crowd. You wouldn't pick a kicker if everyone started to in round 5, right? Same principle.

10 was a good spot for a TE, you just picked the wrong one imo. Should've def went Julius Thomas, though turns out you could have taken Crowell or Diggs in 10 and still got Thomas in 11 or 12 lol.

That draft board is def a good sign for your prospects this season if you stay on top of waivers and trades and what not, good luck!

Looks pretty great. I'm sure I'd prefer someone who was left to Fleener at TE and would prefer to have a decent backup for Tygod, but you crushed the first 4 rounds big time and I'm higher on Maclin and Floyd than most so I like your WR's a ton considering you started RB/RB which I never would have done in that setup. Nice job!

Too many RB's too early for a 3wr+flex ppr league. I don't know how Benjamin was there in the 6th but if he wasn't there your wr's would look pretty bad.

Just finished another $100 YPL (2rb/3wr/0flex/standard scoring)

Didn't bother to anonymize it, fun to see a different 1st pick when you draw the #2 spot.

Only got sniped once (rawls) and went with forte, but my rankings (FBG) have him higher anyways so oh well.

Bortles felt early, but I didn't see much value elsewhere, and I never draft D before the last 2 rounds, but again didn't see much advantage anywhere so just figured I'd variance the upside of KC -- pretty happy with this one I think. I also debated hyde/langford over Olsen.

Thoughts?

Team 3 and 7 look good, 5 did for a while...might give the edge to 3 over mine actually, but still pretty happy.

standard with 2 keepers, 2rb/2wr/2flx. thanks to some trades had a couple fourth round picks

wanted latavius at 10 but he was taken at 9, could have gone watkins but was scared of being stuck with hill/forte at rb after the turn and cobb is great anyway. also messed up and should have taken john brown over floyd or matthews.

great value waiting on eli i think and really happy to get ryan mathews and abdullah where i did

I hate hate hate my team. I got stone-sniped 5 times, wanted Landry with first pick and then really had no clue what to do when he got taken ahead of me. Wanted Lockett, Brady, Ware-- several others.

Drafting 12th, non-snake, but I had traded up in a couple rounds. 1.25 PPR and return yards count. First two were keepers. I'm hoping either Zeke or Bell smoke out/punch out/turn ankle? or maybe I can trade Olsen for a decent RB.

I got Rawls > Latavius and Floyd > JBrown so your "mistakes" look good to me. Tough to judge the rest not knowing who was there, but it looks good overall with pretty great depth. Only pick that looks bad is Starks, but at that point nbd, I'm sure you'll just be dropping him after week 1 for some waiver pick up so whatevs.

YPL out of the 6 hole. Went nothing like I expected but happy with the results. Figured to go WR/WR/WR but that didn't happen. Had the chance for Johnson so I took him. Then decided Gronk was the best value in round 2. There seemed to be a run on RBs so I picked 4 straight WRs I felt were best value. I almost never take WR4 before RB2 but it seemed like the best play here. I like my WRs and figure I have RB1 and TE1. RB2 is weak but I have decent depth there.

1. (6) David Johnson (Ari - RB)
2. (15) Rob Gronkowski (NE - TE)
3. (26) Alshon Jeffery (Chi - WR)

Love the first 5 picks, not a fan of the Tate pick though. Would've went Mathews or (heaven forbid) maybe even Brees there. Sucks because the best value there is Olsen prob but no way I would pick Ingram over Gronk without being able to see the future. Not a big fan of the JAX RB picks either, seems like 2 roster spots for guys you can't start unless the other is injured which is even more of a problem in YPL's since 10 teams without deep benches. I would've taken Henry over Ivory and Crowell over Yeldon.

If you can pair whichever of your RB's that gets off to a good start with Tate for a RB2 upgrade you'll be sitting pretty though and I suppose while you wait until people are ready to trade Tate is really good insurance for your injury prone top 3 WRs. Actually perhaps the Tate pick is better then I initially thought given that combo of WRs.

I thought about Mathews over Tate but decided with all the RBs that had already gone I would pretty much have my choice for the next few rounds and thought Tate was clearly the best WR and knew he wouldn't be there next time around. I knew I would need a solid 4th WR and I am comfortable with him every week. Never even considered Brees. I am happy waiting and waiting on QB.

I hate taking Gronk because it makes those middle rounds so much tougher but at that point I felt he had dropped far enough and was best value. But I am almost always more comfortable waiting until the late rounds for TE. I am happy enough with the way this one played out.
