Standard passing league. Manager adding some bonuses for long runs/receptions

QB1 Drew Brees
RB1 David Johnson
RB2 Matt Forte
WR1 Allen Robinson
WR2 T.Y Hilton
TE Zach Ertz
Flex Kelvin Benjamin
D/ST Cardinals
K Chandler Catanzaro

BE Duke Johnson Jr
BE John Brown
BE Tyler Eifert
BE Andy Dalton
BE Tevin Coleman
BE Terrance Williams
BE Davante Adams

A lot of my draft positions were late in the snake. I did not get an opportunity for early round picks. I was using the Kubiak workbook from FootBall Outsiders. I'd like to know if I used the material correctly and any thoughts on my picks. I'm a bit of a roto noob looking to play this keeper league and do some DFS this season.

Thanks Guys;

BBBRay.

Team 2. I hate teams that draft TEs and QBs in the early/mid rounds.

Well, 1st $100 YPL (std, 1qb/2rb/3wr/0flex/1te/1k/1d for those unfamiliar) is done, and it might be my worst draft ever. Got sniped a ton in spots where I was 2-3 picks away and happy with getting any of my next top 2-3 guys and never got them, especially in the top rounds, ugh. Then I spewed in 1 round as I had 12 tables going, not good.

Rate them I guess, I'll be happy if I make top 7.

*edit* had to switch my team so it didn't highlight where I drafted:

What about Gronk? Isn't there an argument to be made that he is a strong first round pick?

To clarify - I don't love team 2 - here are some alternate choices I would have made:

4.11 Decker > Floyd
9.02 Crabtree > Funchess
10.11 lol

Teams I like most: 7+9+8 (except for team 8 taking 3 TEs)

Teams I like least: 2+4

Of the remaining 5 teams, I'll try to ignore my bias for hating early/mid QBs and rank them as: 3 > 6 >>> 10 > 1 > 5

If it wasn't for the Brady pick I'd guess you're team 6. 2nd guess would be team 8 bcz no kicker

Gronk is the obvious exception to the "get your TE late" general rule. Late first is too early though for him imo (mid 2nd is ok but I don't love it, given the depth at TE this year).

Also - I think Gronk has a lot more value in YPLs, where maximizing the value of your starters is more important than 12 team PPR leagues.

How do you feel about a round 5 drew brees? Would you need more context to make a call?

Too early (even for Cam), no context needed (assuming we're talking 1QB, 10-14 team leagues).

Read this (long-ish) and see if you agree/disagree - http://www.lateroundqb.com/why-you-s...y-single-year/

So if people are overvaluing QBs like Brees its plausible that someone might trade me a high-value WR/RB for him?

That's where more context would help (roster construction, league tendencies, how many flexes you start, opponent mindset, etc). Also depends how high you mean by high value

12-team 1PPR, think my bench and RB2 is risky but overall feel good about it.

Second real draft this year. I had a couple of reaches in this draft but I am very happy how it came out. please let me know your thoughts.

6th pick 14 teams full point PPR 16 rounds. Standard scoring.

1.) d. Johnson- Hopkins is who I originally wanted but he was taken by the fifth, even an green was taken by the 3rd! I picked Johnson over gurley and Elliott. Was hard decision but I went with my gut.
2.) Marshall- Picked over Keenan Allen.
3.) Watkins
4.) woodhead- RBS started flying here and woodhead was a big target for me in this draft.
5.) Fitzgerald- hardest pick. I chose him over flloyd, brown and Lockett- came down to his receptions.
6.) gates- picked him over Fleener and barnidge.
7.) tom brady.
8.) Sims.
9.) Cardinals- SUPER reach but I saw Broncos, Seahawks, panthers start coming off and I really like cardinals DST this year, especially for the first 5 weeks.
10.) Boyd.
11.) witten- I think great relative value here.
12.) dak Prescott- I think this dude is going to shine now.
13.) tucker.
14.) Zach zenner.
15.) Coates
16.) osweiler- insurance in case Prescott sucks and now I don't have to waiver a QB.

9.) Cardinals- SUPER reach but I saw Broncos, Seahawks, panthers start coming off and I really like cardinals DST this year, especially for the first 5 weeks. Still way too early for a Defense, I would always rather pick up players.
10.) Boyd.
11.) witten- I think great relative value here.
12.) dak Prescott- I think this dude is going to shine now. Hey, maybe he kills it, maybe he doesn't - it's only 4 games - but there are other backups I would have rather had instead. Check if Flacco, Ryan are available (doesn't look like it though)
13.) tucker. Too early!
14.) Zach zenner. I don't know anything about him - in DET committee? handcuff?
15.) Coates
16.) osweiler- insurance in case Prescott sucks and now I don't have to waiver a QB.

Nice team overall, you have good starters and depth everywhere. No real need to have 3 QBs though, I would get rid of Osweiler/Dak and get Chris Johnson if he's there, or next best sleeper/handcuff.

14-Teamer .5ppr from the 12-spot. QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/K/D.

Romo news came out 45 minutes after Dez pick. Would have taken ARob if I knew. Usually not a fan of taking QBs/TEs early, but couldn't pass up on Cam/Olsen I thought. Could have taken Hurns over Gore, but thought there was a decent-sized gap in RB after Gore. Drafted with a partner who's a big ND fan which is why we reached quite a bit on Fuller. WRs are legit terrible, but with how bad some people are at RB I don't feel awful. Thoughts?

Also, Team 7 and 14 traded 3rd/4th/6th/8th picks.

If you take decker/Edelman in the 4th and wait on qb I like it better, wr is just too weak in a 3/2 ppr format

Just did my first YPL standard 10 tm QB/3 WR/2RB/TE/DEF/K out of the 2 hole and was very happy with the results. I got pretty much what I wanted when I wanted with no noticeable snipes. Was happiest that T. Hilton dropped to me as I thought he would be gone. Where I drafted Shepard I normally would have drafted Crabtree but noticed his week 10 bye was the same as Hilton/Tate so took Shepard instead. Never got J Thomas TE in a mock as he was always gone before I started drafting TE. Some real soft spots in this draft wish I knew how to post a board? E. Sanders went in second round???? I assumed it had to be a misclick

1. (2) Odell Beckham Jr. (NYG - WR)
2. (19) Mark Ingram (NO - RB)
3. (22) Mike Evans (TB - WR)
4. (39) T.Y. Hilton (Ind - WR)
5. (42) Latavius Murray (Oak - RB)
6. (59) Golden Tate (Det - WR)
7. (62) Jeremy Langford (Chi - RB)
8. (79) Giovani Bernard (Cin - RB)
9. (82) Sterling Shepard (NYG - WR)
10. (99) Tyrod Taylor (Buf - QB)
11. (102) Julius Thomas (Jax - TE)
12. (119) Jameis Winston (TB - QB)
13. (122) Tevin Coleman (Atl - RB)
14. (139) Los Angeles (LA - DEF)
15. (142) Chandler Catanzaro (Ari - K)

Yeah I downloaded that and have no clue how to use it and it doesn't seem real user friendly. No instructions and not at all intuitive.
