Low as in High? he is approx the RB25 ADP anyway Smallwood and Sproles will cut into his value in PPR, should be RB2 in standard leagues imo

Matthews is a solid flex or rb2. Not much more. Always an injury risk.

Thoughts on the giants receivers outside of OBJ? Sounds like Cruz not quite dead and the only other guy is that second round rookie, TE battle appears close, they've got to be passing it enough that with Beckham being the sole focus of the defence that someone could be value?

Think Cruz and sheppard eat each other's value

I wouldn't be surprised if Cruz gets released. Can't imagine him posting more than, like, 35/400/3.

Was gonna ask this about the Tate-Jones-Boldin trio, and I guess you can toss Ebron in there too. Is anyone really going to standout? Seems like a bunch where week to week you won't ever know who is going to get you the pts. Obviously Tate is slightly ahead of the rest, but is it really by that much once he gets the best coverage on in?

I think Stafford really likes Tate. I'm talking for ppr btw

Tate probably gets the most targets, but I'd rather own Marvin because of their respective prices. In 12t PPR Tate is 3.11 and Marvin is 8.05 - if I'm going to own one of the DET receivers I'd much rather spend an 8th on Marvin, and at around 3.11 I could instead have one of Edelman/Sammy/Maclin.

Strategy aside, my speculation is that we've seen the last of Boldin. IMO it's telling that it took so long for him to finally land on a team; maybe he puts up 300-400 yards. He's probably going to be a Cruz/Reuben type - I'll never want to roster him because his upside is only a WR3.

+1, I have Jones at the top of my list of team wr2s and could see him take over the leading looks from stafford.

Not bad but looks like you have no bench besides foster who could be great or worthless

there is no flex spot in these leagues, so i dont really need a deep bench. foster is a good backup , and kevin white is supposed to be a monster this year so he can back me up as WR 3

How high are we on Hyde this year? Luck in the 6th is some sweet sweet value

Gronk in r2 is great. Not a fan of Luck in r6, even if that's a round below his ADP. This gets said every year, but the QB pool is sooooo deep, especially this year. Just because he falls a round doesn't automatically make him a good value. I'd much rather take another WR from that ADP range (Decker, Fitz, and Sanders are all late-6th/early-7th aorn for 10team std scoring) and grab one of Rivers/Kirk in the later rounds.

edit - I'm also not really a fan of stacking a QB with his WR1 (Luck, Hilton). Feels like you expose yourself to having a low floor on some weeks if the team opts for the run game (though IND is probably a bad example given that their RB1 is former Eagles stud Frank Gore), but you can get a similar ceiling and higher floor by choosing a different QB. I haven't done any analysis to back up those floor & ceiling claims - just a personal risk preference.

Hate RB, love everything else. Maybe it was just because I was strung along by Hyde all last season but him as your first RB in a standard in a ten team seems very meh. Murray is so overrated - people talk about Freeman's huge dropoff in the second half of last season but Murray had an even lower ypc in that stretch (22nd November on). Like Foster but he'll probably last a month, Gio would be awesome in PPR but ehh in standard, the rest are third down backs at best

Bench rbs shouldn't really be on anyone's roster imo. Sproles, ok, ppr, but that's it. Ouch man...

I'm also not owning Hilton on any team this year.

A bunch of the pass-catching backs still have standalone value in YPLs / standard scoring - especially Gio, Duke, and Woodhead. Bilal Powell, Sproles, and Yeldon are even less valuable (in standard scoring) bcz the RBs ahead of them on their depth charts can also catch passes.

Charles Sims is a tough one for me - sorta feels like he falls in between those two groups.

I like drafting the Bilal/Yeldon group in PPR (instead of Forte/Ivory) simply because they're cheaper.
