I really like the $100 team. Arenado/Miggy/Sale is like the nut first 3 picks drafting from the 10 hole. Might end up lacking in HR a bit, but otherwise seems very well balanced and your pitching should carry you most weeks.

I dont like the $50 team as much. Like you said, the Seager pick really kills Machados value. Also, I dont think you will win steals nearly as often as you think you will. I see Pollock, and a bunch of guys that are likely to see their speed regress hard (Upton, Braun, Kinsler and I feel like Machado wont reach last SB year's total either. Offense is obv really strong overall though.

I really like Iglesias on down on the rotation on the 2nd team. If you could get E5 or Abreu (or maybe even Davis) for Sale at 1B I'd take it
You can't really punt anything in Roto without seriously putting yourself begind the 8 ball. A lot of the closers are good whip/era/ks but you're paying for them 6-10 rounds earlier for 1 category alone. Why take a middling closer in the 8th when you can take betances in the 15th and such

I agree with a likely SB regression but I should still get double digits from enough players to be well up there

(Actually looking at his 2015 numbers Choo wasn't as bad as I thought last year. Seemed like he was hitting about .210 for most of the season, must have turned it on late)
Didn't realize Lindor was going that high in NFBC. Guess you gotta do what you gotta do.

It was 20 picks til my next pick and lindor would have been gone by then. I believe the next best SS was andrus/crawford (literally the 2 picks before me were Seager and boogie)

Picking at the corner sucks a lot

Hate that $50 draft, the $100 i only mildly dislike. Not a fan of either though really.

I don't like reaching for someone like Lindor ever, especially in a league that doesn't even have a MI slot. You could have waited until the end and gotten much better value at SS so that you wouldn't have had to punt some of your OF and UTIL slots

edit- actually now that i look at it in more detail, i like the $50 some more. I saw Belt at 1B but didn't notice that you got really good value on him, and your OF/UTIL is stacked.

I'd amend that to draft one pitcher in the 4th/5th, then hold off on the rest.

I've put together a summary for a "weekly roto" league. All comments and/or feedback are welcome.

i was really hoping ESPN wouldnt notice that gattis never played C last year and would give him eligibility again for my dynasty league.

now he has barely any value as a pure DH, or at least, much much less

I have Bryant in the top 15 at the very least.

He gets a ton of value when you switch from AVG to OBP. I think their Bryant rank is at least defensible. I haven't seen Rizzo anywhere close to that low though.

I'm not taking him in the first either but understand I'm in the minority. I just won't have him this year and I'm cool with that (EDIT - and I agree Rizzo outside the top 15 seems terrible. Comparable upside without near the batting average risk)

Speaking of leagues starting up .. I am starting one if anyone on here is interested. $80, 14 team 5x5 roto 'slow' auction keeper, $500 to spend at auction and can keep anyone on your roster for +$10 the following year (up to three times). Nothing too unique except weekly lineups and FAAB, since I know a lot of people prefer daily.

This isn't a 2+2 league or anything but I'm about halfway to filling it and if anyone on here wants in that'd be great. Just PM me with your email address I can send you a link to the Google Doc rules and an invite if you're interested.

decided to go 8 rounds of pitchers and not waste picks on relievers this time. in both instances once i hit the 11th round i didn't really care about getting value out of the pitchers i chose compared to my ADP since all the "value" picks by that point were all low floor low ceiling kind of guys and i figured i'd just load up on low floor high ceiling. i don't need all of them to hit, nor do i expect all of them to, but if even half do i'm in great shape

I'm not high on him necessesarily. The catcher options were **** and he has the most upside of them

yeah, catcher seems especially brutal this year...don't think it matters much who you get, really. Feels more likely than not that I'll be waiver surfing my catching options this year.

I'm not as high on Gomez as you seem to be, but point taken about high ceiling strategy.
