Starting outfielder question: Jay Bruce or Ryan Braun for this week?

Bruce has 7 home games this week, but he's a pile of suck.
Braun has 6 games, 3 vs STL; 3 @ PIT. He's been rolling but may be traded at any moment.

Meh this sucks

i'd bet the farm against a braun trade and even if it did happen bruce in 7 games at citi is pointless

assuming he even plays 7 games, since he's had 2 of the past 4 days off, and Mets will likely have Conforto coming up in Sept and could steal some more time

derek holland might be worth grabbing in advance of his next start

2 games since coming off the DL he has a whiff rate of 11.9 and 13.7. had 10 k's in 12 innings to 1 walk

important things to note:
fastball heavy pitcher with a really ****ty fastball and heading into his last 3 starts (his last start before going to the DL and his 2 since being activated) his average fastball usage was 64.8%. only twice got a whiff rate of 9.5 or better (10.9 both times). of those starts his lowest fastball usage was 56.2%

in his last 3 starts:

6-20 (last start before hitting the dl) 51.7% FB usage, 13.2% whiff, 4 ks 2 walks 4.1 innings
8-23 (first start back) 46.6% FB usage, 13.7% whiff, 5 ks 0 walks 6 innings
8-28 46.4% FB usage, 11.9% whiff, 5 ks 0 walks 6 innings

so if the heavy dosage of anything but his weak ass fastball is now a thing, he could be pretty effective going forward

on a similar note, I think Bruce and Pence are droppable in 12 teamers. thoughts?

Jay Bruce is sitting tonight. Think he's pretty much dead weight at this point.

I picked up Matt Boyd this week. Faces the WSox tonight and they're dead-last in AL against lefties in terms of HRs, RBIs, and runs scored. Also faces Royals Sunday and they're middle of the pack against southpaws

Ya I don't think Bruce is remotely rosterable at this point. Pence being rosterable depends on who you'd be replacing him with
