What are some of your RB4/5?

Guys like Draughn and Hightower are great because they are either bench players or RB2+. I much prefer them to a RBBC situation like SEA, DET, BAL. Also prefer them to certain guys that I just don't think will ever have that kind of ceiling like Matt Jones, Frank Gore, Sproles

Haha, I feel the same way. I don't think it's fair to compare Williams to Darnio as Darnio was a 1st team all American in D1 coming out but had a brutal knee injury his senior year. Williams is more of a janis/Charles Johnson type. Small school with great measurables but not used to competing with top talent. This may not be his year but the opportunity is there. The plus side is that the chargers didn't practice squad him showing that he has progressed well in the pro system. I'm going to use a #1 on him I think but that's knowing in this particular league people use their waivers on kickers and D's. I expect to have the #1 again by week 8 at least.
The upside is there but I'm only giving him a 25% chance of panning out.

Have #1 waiver spot and Tevin Coleman is available , 10 team PPR league. Is he worth burning #1 waiver spot on?

I'm also adding Cadet where I have room (ppr). With Spiller being released, he's locked in as the passing down back. Not going to win the league for you but could be useful on bye weeks or trade throw in.

The RB 4/5's on my teams right now are guys like Sims, Tevin Coleman, McKinnon, Ajayi (yes still, Foster's gotta get hurt eventually). I guess I was unclear in the post you quoted, but what I was trying to say is that handcuffing your own players is not the way to go (I was responding to a post about a guy contemplating picking up a 3rd OAK rb). You want to have the backups for other team's players early in the season to maximize your payoff.

And while I think you're going too far on some of those (def prefer Rawls to Draughn and Hightower for example), yes, let's just let this be known once and for all...NO ONE SHOULD BE ROSTERING DARREN ****ING SPROLES!!!

+1

it's week one, and theoretically he'll be their #1 WR, facing top corners. I wouldn't break the bank for anybody after week 1.

wow my league is dumb. The Keenan owner took Agholar. Tyrell cleared all 12 teams and I picked him up as FA

Those WR options are pretty ugly, but I guess Agholor has sucked for the least amount of years so perhaps has the best chance of turning it around.

Not sure I can justify rostering the Rams after how they performed in pretty much the best matchup possible, gotta go Jets at this point. I'd certainly recommend streaming d's week to week over holding onto either of those indefinitely though.

Damn I was insomnia'ing around tonight and racking my brain over which mediocre guys to poach. Didn't even realize he cleared in 2 of my leagues till your posts. Thanks! Got'm in both, lol.

yeah, I was surprised to see most of the top waiver picks now FAs..I got Tyrell with an 8 pick and just picked up T Coleman as a FA and Rogers still a FA

Is Coleman worth having over Blount? He did get 22 carries and the NE backfield seems less random than normal

How about Tyrell vs keeping Josh G stashed?

Would anyone pickup Barnidge? I only have Ebron. So carrying two TEs for a couple weeks seems ok

Would be dropping Michael Thomas, who I like but is unlikely to ever play as he is my wr5 in a 2wr/flex league.

barnridge is a monster when the QB actually looks his way.
check out his stats from last year with McCown.

he was my top target in the draft this year and I expect huge things from him now that rg3 is gone.

A lot of analysts yesterday were saying to spend 20% to get Tyrell. I didn't agree with it, but whatevs

% spent on Tyrell Williams in 3 of my FAAB leagues:
1
4
11

I got a lot of better players free than the ones I spent money on, lol. That said I used 0 waiver wire priorities anywhere, so happy about that.

i picked up Kerley in a few PPR spots. Liked what I saw Monday Night. Picked him up on teams that had top receivers that need less upside, just a plug in play for injury or bye. He got 11 targets, seems to be the first option with how quickly Gabbert was releasing the ball. 2.03 seconds from snap to release, 2nd fastest last week.

Tyrell,Fuller, Eli Rodgers are all available. So is Tajae Sharpe. Guess my league sucks lol. Anyhow 10 team 2RB/2WR/Flex non PPR.

WRs are Julio/Jordy/Maclin/Crabs

Is Tajae >>>> everybody else? If so, what percentage of FAAB would you spend? 10-15%?
