So I have the joy of being a Keenan Allen owner. From memory no receiver stepped up last year when he went down, Woodhead saw a few more targets, Gates had a decent finish to the season but there was no clear beneficiary.

Could Travis Benjamin step up or is he likely to just inherit Allens coverage? Tyrell Williams has the physicals but as has been pointed out this an NFL franchise, they don't let things like facts get in the way of decision making.

Allen replacement options currently are;

T Benjamin
J Matthews (doubtful, I'm #7 on WW priority)
Snead (already have Cooks so probably a no go)
W Fuller

How are any of those guys available in your league? 8-teamer?

I'm trying to decide If I like Fuller more than T Benjamin.

I am collecting Fullers so it would be nice to trade for another, but is T Benjamin just that much more upside then Fuller?

I should probably elaborate. I have Demaryius with a gimpy hip, Jared cook, and Wheaton who are all expendable.
The best pickups available are:

Hogan
Beasley
CMike

Also if I burn the #1 waiver now, I can put in a claim for either Tamme or Rudolph, to drop Cook on the second go round..
Obv not going to use a high waiver on one of them alone.




Reminder:
if you are in Yahoo and plan to burn a waiver this week, you can block your league mates from picking up FA's for free before waivers process.
Normally all unclaimed players on the wire become FA's at midnight, and you can pick them up hours before waivers process.
However, all claimed players, even if the player is like say a 6th priority for some team that is not ultimately claimed off waivers, will still show up as in a pending transaction and therefore wont be available as a FA until all waivers have processed, as opposed to the unclaimed players that become available at midnight.

So to block the vultures who like to run to the wire at the stroke of midnight and swoop all teh unclaimed FA's without burning a waiver, just put in a claim for every single useful player on the wire that week, even if you have zero intention of actually winning them (you can choose to drop the same player for every claim so there's no chance. you actually drop players you dont want to lose)

Obv this only works if you are already going to make at least 1 legit waiver claim.

Pro tip: pick up Shaun Draughn now. Drop him if Hyde makes it through the night

i am thinking of dropping tyrod and picking up matt ryan n alex smith n streaming.
im thinking im better off not putting in a claim and just hoping they clear waivers so i can slowly start moving up the ww priority list.

im not an expert on ww so if this isn't the ideal strategy please let me know.

I'd say save the ww and move up the ranks. Will come in handy from week 8+ when guys have stopped handcuffs for other needs.
