RG forum has 30+ page thread of guys hair on fire about DK's new NBA late lock policy,your thoughts?

If there's no late swap why do we have to wait for that game to start to see the ownership percentages?

I emailed DraftKings and even if the slate is multiple days it locks the first game that's so dumb

its so that people can't use the early slate ownerships to make their late game teams. It makes complete sense.

Though I would think that they should be more concerned about appearances and make the ability of any insider cheating impossible rather then have players trust them that it is not going on. They should print lineups once game locks.

Oh, wow, just discovered this (apparent?) new DK policy of locking lineups at the start of the first game. Figured I was done w/ DK b/c I didn't like being committed to following what was going on all night re: injuries + early ownership %s + other attention-demanding considerations, might actually bring me back to fire a bit more.

99.5 on DK. Did everyone pick him or something? I thought I picked pretty well...all my guys except for one got the "fire" symbol on draftkings and I have two guys still currently playing. And I'm not even in top half of the big $4 tourney. What normally cashes in these things? I'm projected to get 250+ and doesn't look like I'll even get close to cashing.

dk really needs to stop this 30 percent payout nonsense...it's good they must have listened and got 1st back to a healthy number in their bigger 3 dollar contest.

However, the payouts below 25th place are aweful.

They really need to eliminate paying out the 20-30 percent range and distribute the money to the top 500...30 percent payouts suck...15 percent should be the norm.

Pretty simple go back to paying out 20 percent. Keep first at 10 percent of the prize pool. Would solve their issues. For example it tonites 4 they would have an additional 60k to distribute to high finishers if they did that.

What issues would that solve? Not being a smartass, just curious.

The issue that I can't win, lol...I mean I'm happy they got back to paying big first place prizes but an ideal gpp would pay 15 percent of spots and have the big first place numbers.

For example if you finish 1400th you beat 99 percent of the field tonight that pays only 20 dollars (although it's 5x buy in i suppose).

Just my opinion but an ideal gpp should be closer to a poker tournament where 10-15 percent of the field and there are big numbers up top.

Anyway, I'm happy they at least ran some pretty good contests with big first place prizes at least...but yes if the choices are flat and pay 30 percent of field or steep and pay 30 percent the steep payouts are better. But yeah I'll look into fan duel nba to see how there payouts are.
