1 ppr league with some big play and big game bonuses.

1. deangelo williams @NE- currently leaning this way. bell seemed to do pretty well for himself in this offense and he is average rb.
2. Melvin Gordon @DET- consensus seems to say him but he is completely unproven.
Assume this is the same league...total tossup for me here. I actually think Coleman is closer than you think. I'd reluctantly start Gordon but if your gut says Deangelo or Coleman I think they are fine plays here.

Pick the highest floor WR in standard scoring league:
Allen vs. Det
Maclin @ Hou
Brown vs NO

Yahoo is convinced that Allen is just THAT good where the only reason it's even close is because of the matchups. I'm not sold and still leaning Brown.
Yahoo grossly under-compensates for matchups. If a guy averages 12 points a game, they'll project him for 13 against the league's worst defense and 11 against the best.

Honestly, I kinda like Brown even if you need floor. Maclin should receive a fair number of targets, but Houston's corners are pretty good. Saints are down a CB1 and a FS.

Need to decide on some guys, all standard scoring

Need a QB

Tanny @ WAS
Bradford @ ATL

Need a Flex

Yeldon @ CAR
Steve Smith Sr @ DEN

Need a WR

Davante Adams @ CHI
Andre Johnson @ BUF

Leans are the first guys listed in each decision.

I think he's good. Maybe not great (Todd Gurley is great), but good enough to handle a featured-back workload effectively. He's a fine receiver and pass protector, which means he's not coming off the field on third downs. I'm betting this is the year Jacksonville takes a step forward, as they've had to totally rebuild the roster following the Gene Smith disaster.

I think the Jags would very much like to give him 300 carries, but of course there are other factors in play in order to make that a reality.

All rookies are unproven.

They used the #35 overall pick on a running back and they signed a run-blocking right tackle to a large free-agent deal. They also drafted a pretty good guard in the third round who might be starting before the season's out, and signed a new starting center in free agency.

i like coleman but atlanta's run game doesnt give me a total sense of confidence. im most worried about pitts bad performances in NE as of late. this is going to be a pick and pray sort of thing. prob put williams in bc he plays tongiht and i dont have anyone else going tonight and it will give me more invested in the game so i dont have to drop money on NE lol.

well i like bradford pretty easily against tanny.

yeldon smith is close but i always go with a proven guy over a rookie. i dont think there is a big difference between them but i'd go smith every time.

adams. i completely agree. not even close. as someone who gets burned by johnson every year lately i hate him in fantasy. clearly he will be better with luck but he is a huge disappointment every time i have started him the last two or three seasons. i'd let him establish himself before he made it into my lineup.

Technically? I love Abdullah. I play him over those others without thinking twice.

It's not just me, either. FantasyPros has him about 35 spots higher than Randle/Wheaton as a Flex play in standard. In full PPR the three are literally ranked 65-66-67, but I like Abdullah as the most talented of the bunch and with no real matchup impediments.

I prefer Cooper / Robinson to Cooper / Allen. Allen has a tough matchup and I'm not sure he has the high-end talent to overcome it.

Wheaton or John Brown for wr3 in standard league.

yahoo says wheat
fpros says brown
gut says idk

I vote Brown because I think he is good and I don't think Wheaton is very good.

General advice: You'll regret losing by going with your gut a lot less than you will regret losing by going against it.

I thought Bell being listed as #1 might devalue him, but it looks like you're right. Thanks

I am not getting the Maclin doubt here either.

He is basically the son Andy wishes he had. I expect him to set a career high in receptions this year; as KC isn't exactly blessed with WR talent.

I dont really care that much about the joke, was more important to me that rafki didn't think I was calling him an idiot.

he always takes the time to give me feedback when I ask a question and we post alot in the hockey threads.

not like it was that great of a joke to begin with.

but if I didn't like rafki I obv wouldn't have said anything n let him keep stewing.

Standard non-ppr 12 man league.
Need 1 RB 1 WR and 1 Flex.

TJ Yeldon
Joseph Randle
Mike Evans
Jarvis Landry
Pierre Garcon
Tyler Eifert

Obviously this decision is much easier if we know Mike Evans will play for sure.
