Do you have other options?

Doug Martin or Jstew?

Choose 2: Steve Smith, B Marshall, Andre Johnson

I like Martin more and JStew less than most, so this is basically a coin toss for me. (On balance I think Jacksonville's defense is better than Tennessee's.)

I sit Stevonne, he's got the toughest matchup.

With Leveon and Spiller out I need to start 2 of these clowns in a 14 teamer at RB2 and Flex:
Dion Lewis v Pit
Yeldon v Car
J.Bell @SD

Yeldon definitely

I'd go Lewis, definitely so if it's PPR. I'm avoiding Joique Bell all around because of injury/age/more talented players on roster at the position.

I start Rape all day. Pats secondary isn't what it was last year.

Re: Post 57 (quoting shows some weird post)

RBK, it's the 1st week of the new NFL season. We have all been studying and preparing for quite some time. Do a little extra. Include the usual, "include league requirements and scoring" and "2p2 is a community built on the contributions of its member, so don't just ask, answer as well." Maybe include "Week 1" in the thread title.

Well now I'm just more unsure! I have AB on the same team too so maybe I'm just being a weak hedger

Cool thanks. Not sure why I forgot to include PPR.
I do have Lewis/Yeldon in right now but don't feel great about it.

Landry @ WAS
Robinson v. CAR
Watkins v. IND

I am really unsure about this, and my starting WR is Jeffery and I'm not even sure about him. halp
Shameless bump for new page, and removed a couple guys that I've thought about and just can't imagine starting due to some uncertainty (qb, role, etc) even though I think both are going to have good years.

I'm glad you mentioned this, and let me know if this changes your opinion:

For this matchup, I'm interested in a high floor...my other pieces look pretty good IMO. So maybe this?

Pick the highest floor WR in standard scoring league:
Allen vs. Det
Maclin @ Hou
Brown vs NO

Yahoo is convinced that Allen is just THAT good where the only reason it's even close is because of the matchups. I'm not sold and still leaning Brown.

hey guys wondering who you like more as a start in a 1 point ppr league...
1. Deangelo Williams. who i lean towards
2. Melvin Gordon. unproven not sure how he will be used.
3. Ryan Matthews. not really considering him but he is available
4. Tevin Coleman. also not really considering but will throw him in there

Don't know anything about Yeldon. Is he really that good or is it just that everyone else in Jacksonville is bad so he'll be allowed to fail and keep getting carries?

I like maclin here. houston's D is tough but maclin is being super undervalued imo this season. andy reid wanted him badly and i think he will be eager to show people he made a good decision going after him in free agency. brown is too risky to me. i think he may have the highest possible floor but his odds of hitting it are low. i think they will look to maclin often and if he gets in the endzone you should be good. gl

he is talented for sure. but he is a rookie and completely unproven. he is expected to be THE back which these days makes him a solid play. jax will be bad but i think they will be improved.

Jacksonville has shown no commitment to the run. They get a little behind and totally abandon it. Since MJD left it's been a place where RBs careers go to die. I don't see it being any different this year even with an improving defense. Yeldon will be at best a flex when he has a good match up imo.

it is true their run game has been terrible but that is bc their entire offense has been terrible. there is a feeling among some(myself included) that there will be some improvement this year. they arent going to be top ten offense but even a poor offense who feeds the ball to one guy usually leads to some decent weeks of production. i am in no way sold on yeldon, but i believe there is some promise to him having value if jax can develop even an average offensive game.

anyone want to help out with this one....
1 ppr league with some big play and big game bonuses.

1. deangelo williams @NE- currently leaning this way. bell seemed to do pretty well for himself in this offense and he is average rb.
2. Melvin Gordon @DET- consensus seems to say him but he is completely unproven.
