That's what happens in 2 QB leagues- the skill positions get pushed back around 2 rounds. Look where Martin, Stacy, Cobb, Garcon, etc got drafted.

Feel like if you get anywhere from 1-4 in a Yahoo mock they are very simple

r1: RB
r2/r3: WR/WR. Maybe take PFM/Rodgers/Brees here
r4/r5: WR/TE One of Vernon/Cameron/Gronk falls here a lot. If not just grab an RB2
r6/r7: complete starting roster then go BPA.

Feel like once you get to round 10/11 it's no longer about depth. You should have a great lineup + a good RB3 and WR4. There's not much merit in securing a RB4/WR5 when you can take sleepers like Ebron/Hyde/Matthews

Here's my latest one from the 1 spot

Charles
Alshon
Jordy
Cameron (sniped on Gronk)
Cruz (over Roddy/Fitz/DJax/Garcon)
Foles
R Mathews
TWill
Gore
P Thomas
Sanders
Hyde
Cooks
J. Matthews
Cleveland

And again, I may take the next 5 RBs taken after Ellington before I take Ellington. Morris isn't a super great PPR back but he gets fed the ball a lot, same with Stacy.

Looking at this draft just reminds me how meh every team is that takes one of the top 3 QBs. The 10 spot is the only team I don't hate, and even that one is iffy. Above average starters but ****ty depth.
Morris just seems like a guy to completely avoid in ppr. Change of system so who really knows what his volume will be and offers nothing in the passing game

Agree with most of this except I don't take QB until 8 or 9 if I don't get one of the big 3. Usually go RB/RB at 6/7 since RB2 will usually be the weakest spot, getting a solid RB3 seems prudent.

I mean if you can grab Gore in 9 then I guess go for it and grab a QB if you want, shouldn't matter much, but I actually like the QB's that usually go later like Romo and Cutlah just as much if not more than some of the mid guys like Foles, Ryan and Brady.

Also that draft reeks of autodrafters, no way you're getting Sanders/Hyde/Cooks that late in real leagues. Gore in 9 is a huge stretch too ime. Still those first 5 rounds are pretty much ideal for this strat imo.

IIRC, there were 3-4 auto drafters by the end. That's not incredibly uncommon though in mocks. A lot of people just do the first 8-10 rounds then split. From what I remember last year YPL's were just as bad. I'm sure it won't be as great come draft day but I remember grabbing a lot of sleepers late last year that worked out. Cameron, Julius, Gio, Stacy just to name a few. All guys I remember grabbing really late last year in some YPLs.

Agree that if Lynch lasts to #17, he's too good to pass up. Disagree about Toby Gerhart. It's entirely possible that Jordan Todman is the Back You Want To Own in Jacksonville.

Since it's PPR, the team I like the most is team kd', drafting 10th. AJ Green is as elite and safe as it gets in our game. Bush and Vereen should be good for 40-60 receptions or more each, and they've both done it before. Stafford and Witten are great value, and I know I keep talking about him, but PPR leaguers MUST know the name Kendall Wright. He's an absolute steal in the 6th or 7th round of a PPR and he's going later than that.

He's the chain-mover who already has a connection with Locker, 52 first downs in 94 catches on 140 targets last year.

thing with Lynch is you have to get Michael like 100% of the time right now to back that pick up.

im not sure what info you have read on todman but i think you should reconsider your stance. this is from rotoviz

"Jordan Todman appears to have a "solid hold" on the No. 2 running back job.
Todman's strong start to camp has him ahead of Denard Robinson and Storm Johnson. The winner of this battle will be a change-of-pace option behind Toby Gerhart, who is expected to touch the ball 20-plus times a game."

think stafflahhhhh there is standard but probably should have just taken a QB at 2, no hugely attractive options at other positions but think there's a huge tier after the top 5 that i need to look at more closely, perfectly happy with cutlahhhhh as a 2, dalton prob overkill but didn't want to be punting week 9.

Why is there no love for Dalton? He was 5th last year according to Yahoo scoring among QBs, has AJ Green? Why is he going so late?

If I don't get a top 3 QB, I am waiting till like round 8 or 9 to grab my QB.

Big 3

Ryan
Newton
Stafford
Luck
RGIII
Foles

That gets us to 9?

So in a 10 team league, you should be able to grab a pair of:
Romo
Dalton
Wilson
Rivers
Kaep
Brady
Roth
Eli

I think with a platoon playing match ups, you can do fine with that sort.

I don't do many 12 teamers, where I guess it is different.

Also, why are Kaep and Carson going before Dalton?

Theory is that the new offensive coordinator in Cincy results in much less reliance on the passing game.

2 QB League from the 6 spot of 10. What do you guys think?

QB/QB/WR/WR/WR/RB/RB/TE/K/DEF

Well you drafted vs 3 computers in the 2-4 spot... Obv nice to get Rodgers and stafford, gl doing that vs people

Yeah 3 straight computers right next to you sucks. That's part of the downside with the 2qb mocks is they aren't as popular. It is pretty good though. Not loving Edelman is WR3 in std when you start 3.

So. Week 9. You have 0 QBs. You should have grabbed a backup or two.
2014 Fantasy Football DRAFT Thread Quote

That's a very underrated aspect of 2qb leagues. Every starting QB is rostered as are some backups. I think you're flirting with danger only drafting 3. Only drafting 2 is suicide.

16 man .5 PPR QB/2RB/2WR/TE/Flex/K/D/6BN drafting out of the 12 spot.

1. Le'Veon Bell
2. Marshawn Lynch
3. Larry Fitzgerald
4. Ryan Matthews
5. Dwayne Bowe
6. Ray Rice
7. Ben Roethlisberger
8. Heath Miller
9. Marvin Jones
10. DeAndre Hopkins
11. Andre Williams
12. Eli Manning
13. Ka'Deem Carey
14. Houston
15. Kai Forbath

My WRs are a little weak, but I like my RB situation a lot, and for a 16man, I think playing matchups with Big Ben/Eli is sufficient.
What do you guys think?
