Why make a whole new OP when you can copy/paste from last year!?

****Welcome to the Official 2013 2014 Fantasy Football Draft Thread****

Here, we welcome drafts of ALL kinds! Redrafts, dynasties, keepers, mocks, everything! If you have a draft question, we want to hear about it here!

A few things to keep in mind!

*Please include DETAILS!*

Please don't just post a list of players. We need to know the specifics of your league. How many teams? PPR? 4 or 6pt pass TDs? 2rb/2wr/flex, or 2rb/3wr?, etc..

*Please include more than just your picks!*

If you just want to post your lineup, that's fine, but you can get much better feedback when you include other picks. Include the next 3-5 players taken and/or what other players you were considering. FFC is a great site for mocks because it shows you the whole draft board very clearly. Example; http://fantasyfootballcalculator.com/draft/2215660

*Please help others!*

We are all here to help each other. If you want to get advice, then give some! Post your thoughts on a posted draft or two before posting your own.

*Please include your own thoughts!

Let us know what was going through your mind? Why did you take/skip a certain player? Did your pick get sniped? Let us know so we can tell you if that would have been a good pick!

*********************

I think that covers it all. Good luck all and happy drafting. May AP fall to you at 1.10! you not end up drafting 8th because you'll hate life.

People keep RBs forever and they're difficult to acquire otherwise so I would keep Bell. Furthermore it frees you up on draft day to take BPA when you're otherwise going to be forced to go RB early and often.

looking for dynasty advice. offensive players only no IDP.
4pt pass td/6pt td rec/6pt rush td/PPR
my roster
QB:newton/foles/romo
RB:mccoy/mathews/steven jackson/brown
WR:maclin/boldin/colston/jennings/steve smith (bal)/lafell/terrance williams/austin pettis
TE:jared cook/
I have the 5th pick in the rookie draft. If i stand pat should i be targeting ebron or a WR?

I have also offered the guy who has the #1 pick foles and the #5 pick for the 1st overall pick. I felt like this was a good offer considering his roster for QB is schaub/flacco. when i asked him about trading the pick he said that in order for anything to work he would need a QB or RB back in exchange his RB are fred jackson/ball/hunter.

He also mentioned 3 other guys offered trades and 2 of them he wasnt seriously considering. however the other guy that put in a offer was offering godgers straight up for the #1 is my understanding. He sounded like he was dead set on going for that in less the guy decided back out.

now lets say that guy offering godgers backs out of the deal and the guy who has the #1 pick decides he doesnt like my deal. I just thought about offering newton for the #1pick and carolina defense. am i giving up to much and should i just stay with the #5 pick. or should i offer him this trade in hopes of having carolina d/st and #1 pick

FWIW his team wont be competing for a title in the near future hes a good 2 or 3 years away.

Dynasty league, 20 players kept, rookie draft and then a separate FA draft after.
.5 ppr, 4 pt passing TD
QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/WR/TE/Flex/D

Foles/Ryan
Shady/Lacy/Pead/M.James/Hillman/Bolden/Andre Brown/D.Wilson/A/Bradshaw
DJax/Cobb/Edelman/Emmanuel Sanders/Shorts/G.Tate/V.Brown
Fleener/Gresham/Vance McDonald/Luke Wilson
Jets D

Who should I take at #2, Watkins is going #1 and is who I wanted originally but the guy wants Lacy or McCoy to move up, lolz. Leaning towards Evans but also considering a RB since after my big two it is a giant pile of aids.

I also need to cut 4-5 players on my roster after the rookie draft this week, I currently have two players on IR (Wilson and Bradshaw) plus the 2-3 rookies I draft. Aside from the bum TEs who should I be considering for cutsville?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I'd probably take Evans with a 3 WR setup.

Also Luke Wilson, McDonald are easy cuts. I think you can safely cut Bolden and Mike James too. Both are their team's 3rd backs at best. If you can draft a TE, you can probably cut Gresham too.

I agree with this and will add one thing: they're both great values in the 15th, but Bell is the better value.

Only thing I am concerned with is Jimmy Graham, Gronk and Vernon Davis all being kept, possibly Jordan Cameron as well.

I'd be pretty pumped if my opponents were keeping VD and Cameron in a 2 keeper, 2 QB, 10 team league.

so in my home league, we're making the move to auction and to a 2 qb league. we've normally had 2 flexes (rb/wr/te), but now were doing 1 flex and one OP (on espn), where a QB can be played. so its not 2 QB traditionally.

since im assuming not everyone will account for it being a 2 qb league, and it's the first year we're doing auction (and i think most guys will be their first auction, i started auctions last year), how does that affect my drafting strategy?

go big for a QB1 like brees/rodgers and then a 2nd like romo? or target 2 QBs like wilson/luck/rg3/kaep?

4pt pass tds, .5ppr fwiw

Pead is Mike James if Mike James had sucked when he got to play. Unless your league gives points for covering kicks, Pead is worthless. The writing is probably on the wall for Vincent Brown, I mean he's just not any good and there's no opportunity there. You could talk me into keeping Vance over Mike James only because if VD holds out at least there's some chance he has a little bit of value, but it's not like he's good or they love to throw to their TE, so whatever. With James/Bolden at least there's the chance they get cut and end up seeing a little bit of playing time in a platoon, I think either of them would see 10-12 touches a game if they ended up in Arizona or something.

It's criminal the teams I get doing mocks from the 1-2-3 spots. Will waste very little time mocking from those, man any team starting like Charles/Le'Veon/Nelson or McCoy/Martin/Stacy, jesus. On the flip side about 80% of my teams from the later spots are all abortions.

I did one from the 12 spot the other day that I felt was pretty solid. Got Stacy/VJax at 36/37. Though I do think I want an end slot this year more than ever.

I won't be in a league this year where you'll get Stacy at 36. VJax is possible though.

Taking bell as an rb4 before having a wr2 seems like a big mistake.

Curious who went after rg3 qb wise to see if you could've waited a round to get someone like kaep/cam/luck

I'm assuming Cam and Luck went before RG3, I have Kaep roughly equal to RG3.

Eh i see what youre saying but i was thinking best available and preferred joique to the WRs avilalble. WR corps is very boom or bust as a result but what was available when i took joique wasnt much better (colston, wayne, etc.)

can't remember QBs that were available (know cam was gone) but i believe in a RG3 bounce back so i was happy to grab him there

Yeah didn't register CJ as a wr when I posted that. In a 3 wr league I think I'd like colston or Wayne over bell in that spot but it is closer. I'd just rather fill out my roster before I go to best available. I feel like colston as a wr3 is really nice to have over bell as a second flex

That's an interesting point of debate. In a few mocks I've also grabbed a 3rd or 4th RB before a second WR this year, because I hit a point where to me the group of WR's is totally overrated, but there's still an RB on the board that I can't leave out there, he'll be too valuable during the season. It could be that I'm overvaluing a few WR's and undervaluing a few too, but I think as long as you go in with plan, not filling your lineup is fine. Specially in a league where you know you can swing a trade. And there's always a guy who has too few RB's, and too many WR's.

That also let's me ask: if you're debating between an rb4 or wr3 in the 8/9th rd, is taking the Seattle D an option?

I think you're right most of the time, but it also depends on the league if you know you can make a trade or not. In my home league I know it's super active with trades, so I do always go in to the draft looking to draft more rbs than WRs with the assumption I can make a trade.

Specifically in the OP, maybe I'm just really under valuing bell? Is he startable when bush is out there?
