I think I'm missing something here. If I'm understanding you correctly, you're implying that a manager who plays in multiple contests is most likely or is a good/winning player. And to follow that thought further you're saying that if 80% or more of the field is comprised of these players in a 50/50 contest, then it will become too difficult to beat long term.
If that is what you are saying, then I disagree. Well, I should say I agree with it as potentially being a bad sign but not necessarily. Just because someone plays in multiple contests doesn't make them a good manager, and even if they are, a hierarchy will be established between the best managers, and the ones that don't make that list will adapt or lose money and leave the site eventually. All of the DFS sites are advertising and the phenomenon is spreading. It's plausible to think those relinquished spots will be absorbed by new players to the sites.
