Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball Thread

Any serious 2+2 leagues that don't charge an entry fee? I don't have any money online to ship, but I'd be interested in playing with some people. I suppose I could write a check or something though. Feel free to PM. Thanks

Subscribing to the thread. My first year doing fantasy baseball, in a H2H league and a keeper league as well. It's going to suck.

btw. the marlins got jose reyes, slightly good for stantons rbi totals.
My coworker and I usually make 8-10 bets per Baseball and Football season on random things. This year I said that Stanton would lead MLB in HRs, he said "pffft he wont even lead the National League".

So that lead to 2 bets, I took Stanton over 36.5 HRs and Stanton to hit more HRs then Votto.

Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball Thread

Anyone have any recommendations on who to take in a rookie draft? Obviously people like Montero, Trout were kept in the normal keeper part and I pick last, so Shelby Miller, Harper etc. are gone. Any good recommendations? Can be pitcher or hitter.

These 2 are mostly based on where I am picking my rookie draft but I'm looking for Dylan Bundy and Taijuan Walker, both SP.

Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball Thread

Darvish is only available in the regular draft, this is for MiLB players only.

What about like Rizzo, Turner or Brett Jackson?

Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball Thread

I would look at Rendon, dylan bundy, bauer and def if he wasn't kept profar. The top pf last years draft was pretty solid so you should have some good options there.

Im interested in Profar as well, it'll be interesting to see how TX handles him and Andrus.

Right now(Rangers fan). I'm assuming Andrus walks in 2 years to sign mega bucks with the Yanks. Profar slides into SS.

Kinsler says he won't rule out OF. So it's possible Profar moves to 2B too.

Giants fan much? I don't like it much but I haven't really done any mocks this year so I might be way off.

Lincecum and Cain are a bit early for me. Panda too, really. I don't have a huge amount of faith in Gordon and Cabrera to fully repeat 2011. I like Jones and Bumgarner. Ortiz is early. Freddy Sanchez is not good at baseball.

Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball Thread

I think taking both Gordon and Cabrera is a risk, I dont have a probablem with the Cabrera pick I like him especially where you got him. But man, why so many Giants? I dont like taking more then 2 guys from one staff, just my thing.

Freddy Sanchez really? this guy isnt draftable.
Ortiz was a huge reach, hes a guy I might end up with only if I see him plumet to a point where I think nIm getting value.

Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball Thread

To each his own, but being able to get MadBum in the ninth (steal) is precisely why you don't need to be picking Timmy and Cain in the third and fifth, respectively.

Also think Cabrera is perfectly fine at 73 overall. Would have liked to see you take at least one more big bat and another closer.
