2012 Fantasy Baseball Thread
It's that time again.
12 man league with no positions, all utility hitters.
Points league. 4 HR, 3 3B, 2B, 1 single, 2 SB, 1 BB
Get to keep Carlos Santana or Desmond Jennings for a 16th rounder. Who ya got?

Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball Thread
I would lean Jennings, but this is tough.
Don't think either decision could really hurt you, unless someone gets hurt. With Santana's history, I go Jennings.

Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball Thread
Given that is it no positions I would lean Jennings. He will play more and get good SB points for you.

Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball Thread
Subscribing to this thread, I gotta stop sucking at fantasy baseball. From quick search looks like Kemp is number 1 this year, then very close between Miggy and Pujols for 2 and 3, agree/disagree?

Also. If anyone knows of openings in a dynasty league let me know. Interested in joining one in the 100-200 range

Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball Thread
Thoughts on picking my 8 keepers? 7x7 with OPS, Hitters Ks, Losses and K/BB added, H2H. 8 no cost keepers....
Realistic Options...
Mauer
Morneau
Votto
Uggla
Kendrick
Tulo
M Young
Choo
BJ Upton
Markakis
King Felix
Lince
CJ Wilson
J Zimmerman
Morrow
Marmol
Leaning - Mauer, Votto, Uggla, Tulo, Choo, Upton, Lince, Felix
Thoughts? League seems to value Hitting >>> Pitching, unless its really young stud pitching.

I think Miggy will be #1 with being able to play 3B soon, then Kemp/Pujols.

Seems fine, I do like Wilson but if pitching isn't valued, it's fine. Mauer's a bit iffy with all his injury worries and if he'll play C much longer.

With Braun facing a 50er, Kemp's got to be top dog.
Rest of the first round is a bit a mash up but I like Miggy at 2. Bautista, Pujols, and probably Tulo make top 5.

Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball Thread
Definitely not a very popular opinion, but Kemp isn't in my top three. Give me Pujols, Bautista and Crown Royal first. The .389 babip will almost certainly come down, and his .260 iso is extremely out of line with any other year of his career.
Just getting this post out of the way before he goes for 50/50.

I looked at MockDraftCentral the other day, was surpised Kemp was ranked that high. I personally wouldn't take him before Cabrera/Pujlos, and Bautista's 3B eligibility is appealing enough for me to take him 3rd overall.
Tulo and Ellsbury are fine at 5/6. Upton seems high at 7. Verlander at 8 is just absurd. Votto and AGonzalez are next, but I have a slight preference to Cano and Longoria who they have at 11/12.

This group is fine, but I would switch out Mauer for either Young or Wilson. I firmly believe we have seen the best of Joe Mauer and his numbers are only going to go down from here.

I would also go Jennings. Less injury risk, better position to stay healthy, less days off. Part of Santana's appeal is that he's a catcher, and that value gets discarded in this format.

Maybe not. Guess we could steal another leagues rules and try to start one up. Not sure if we could fill it in time though.
