Re: 2011 Fantasy Football general discussion thread
I dunno, I'll believe this when I see it. It is the Broncos after all.
So what's the scoop with LT? Can I insta drop him with zero remorse?

Re: 2011 Fantasy Football general discussion thread
Very excited this week to see how D.Thomas, Torain, and Cruz play. One more week of good production from the 3 and I'm pretty happy

Re: 2011 Fantasy Football general discussion thread
Schwallie what's your thoughts on Torain this week, I have him goin in a lot of Draftday.com line-up's.. As an eagles fan I have a lot of confidence Torain can smoke this defense but is he going to get most of the carries?

born in the same year, sjax is a good 5 years older in RB years which is what matters...
i admit im a little biased with battle since i saw this coming once jamaal went down but i am not too proud to admit that if i had to choose between the two i would have a hard time picking battle over sjax, but only because sjax is a proven commodity, i still maintain there's a very good chance battle outperforms him for the year... if i had a good RB1 locked up already i would be much more likely to take battle over sjax, he's a very good combination of strength size and speed, will be utilized a lot by a team who's other RB options are an old fart and a midget, and is the less likely to fall to injury of the two...
anyways, as always victor brought up good points, tbh sjax is probably one of the most undervalued RB's at the moment since he's missed games/rams have sucked so far this year and his bye week is over, the rams have a very nice second half schedule...

Other than injury concerns, the idea that Battle > Jackson is pretty absurd. Jamaal Charles, possibly the second most explosive back in the whole league couldn't wrestle carries away from Thomas Jones. I see no reason Battle will either. So we've got a back, who doesn't catch the ball, in a time share, on a bad team who will be behind all the time. That just isn't a recipe for success.
If we were re-drafting and you could take SJax at 2.1 or Battle at 15.1 then it would be a much closer decision. But if you have the chance to keep both right now, it's not even close.

Lloyd put on the trading block by the Broncos. Hopefully he does get moved.

last thing ill say on the subject cause im kindof tired of talking about it, but battle is basically a better version of thomas jones atm, whereas jamaal was the change of pace, beat you outside back and haley seemed to think he was more effective mixing the two, now he might just roll with battle who provides the same type of running with more effectiveness... imagine battle's numbers from last year if he had gotten jones touches...
and just for the record he's been used as a pass catcher in preseason and caught two passes last week, he's not marshal faulk but he's not legarette blount either, he's got the ability and i wouldn't be shocked if he keeps getting 2-3 passes a game and is used on some third downs...
anyways feel free to come back and laugh your asses off after battle gets 10caries for 5yards next game and is never heard from again...

i would prefer he stays in denver as an owner. dont think that wr learning a new offense mid year have a high success rate.

Am I the only one who thinks Earnest Graham is one heck of a play this week? Especially in PPR?

Tebow scores well for a qb because he runs so much and scores rushing TDs.
That being said, he did well in 3 games last year that were pretty meaningless and teams were not game-planning for him.
I didn't even think the term applied to football, but like victor said he's a real ballhog.
Imagine how well he'd do if the opposing team dedicated a linebacker or strong safety to spying on Tebow. He's a good runner for a QB. He's not Vick or Newton, and imo he's not breaking tackles like an RB. I don't think Denver has enough weapons to prevent opposing defenses from either spying on him or forcing him to stay in the pocket and beat them with his arm.
I don't have any investment in Tebow myself, but I'm real curious to see what happens once teams start forcing him to do the things he's not comfortable with, in a situation where their season isn't effectively over or he's not trying to come back from a 17 point deficit.
