He (or I) may be ignorant, but I just looked in my league and I can set weekly waivers to "first game of the week." I'm not sure if this would fix the problem, as my league I'm in right now is setup the same as yours currently is.

To the best I can tell, this is just a glitch in the Yahoo software because opening night was on a Thursday.
If you select "first game of the week" it'll be fine until November, but then it'll totally jack up waivers when the NFL Network games begin and nobody will be able to pick anyone up after Thursday.
I think we're just going to have to all have gentlemens agreements to not pickup players during Thursday games.
Also, Yahoo sucks. I have no idea why 2p2'rs keep wanting to use it. It's inferior to every single other site I've used. Ugh. Hate you guys.

How do other sites handle this? The best way would be to have waivers twice a week (Th-F & Sun-Tue)

Optimal way is to put ppl on waivers when their individual games begin.

This is my team in a 2QB + 1 flex league, .5ppr :
QB: Vick, Rivers (elite)
RB: AP, Jacobs, Spiller, Thomas Jones, Daniel Thomas, Brown (bad)
WR: White, Floyd, Amendola, Bess, Branch, Mason (bleh)
So obv im very weak at RB. Id like to trade AP and get 2 RB, what kind of combo do you think I should target? Would you do that kind of trade? Would you gamble?

nah, just having vick/rivers/ap/white in this format is sick, build around that team thru the waiver, just those 4 should carry you most weeks.
