Can someone bring me up to speed on some specific rules in this league, I am somewhat lost. The rules page on Sportsline is kind of generic, I feel like I missing something here. Mostly with regards to roster rules.

Im looking at the spreadsheet and its listing 2 week drops, 4 free drops and FAs. Can someone explain this to me.

Sorry for being an idiot but I wasnt involved in the league when most of these rules were being discussed.

For the first two weeks of the season, you're allowed to drop 3 players are get $4 back. After that for the rest of the season, you're allowed 4 more similar drops. This was put in for teams w/ $0 cap space that might need to use an emergency add/drop - as otherwise contracts are guaranteed for the year (and any amount greater than $4 when using these 'free drops')

Just to make sure Ive got this. When you say contracts are guaranteed for the year you mean once I pay Valverde at $38 if I decided to cut him the $38 I initially spent goes with him? So my cap would be diminished for the year, correct?

Yea you would owe $34 the rest of the season on Valverde if you dropped him right now.

and levarkin, theres an indicator for starting pitchers, but i don't see one for positions players unless it pops up right before their game starts.

fwiw, i added Fausto Carmona to pecota's team. he won him in the auction, and had space available but cbs wouldn't let me process it because of the DL bug i mentioned earlier.

Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. I'll keep an eye, but the Washington-Philly lineups have been out for about half an hour, and there's nothing next to Rollins' name. Meh, just a minor inconvenience.

maybe they don't show it because lineups lock at the first game of the day. lineups for late games won't be released in time for everyone to benefit.
