Re: '10-'11 Fantasy Basketball Season Thread

I guess Zebo and Scola are pretty similar players:

Randolph: 17 pts, 51% fg, 68% ft, 11.3 boards (4.0 off), 1.8 ast, 2.2 TO, 0.8 stl, 0.3 blk
Scola: 21 pts, 51% fg, 66% ft, 9.3 boards (2.4 off), 2.1 ast, 1.7 TO, 0.8 stl, 0.8 blk

(remember OREB is its own category in my league)

I'm stacked at the big man position though, and tbh Brand isn't even starting for my team on a normal day - I'm playing Darko over him right now. After his hot start Brand has cooled off significantly, and I'm not sure if owners are aware of that yet, so I think he's a decent sell-high candidate.

Last 30 days: 15.7 pts, 50% fg, 79% ft, 7.8 boards (3.7 off), 1.8 ast, 2.2 TO, 1.4 stl, 1.3 blk
Last 14 days: 14.8 pts, 43% fg, 82% ft, 7.8 boards (3.7 off), 1.3 ast, 2.3 TO, 0.8 stl, 1.0 blk

Perhaps I am giving up too much in that trade though...Zebo isn't a clear enough upgrade over Scola. Conley isn't bad, but there's just not enough room for him to play on my team, and his role for me atm is just to play for Rondo when he's hurt so I can afford to trade him.

Any other 2 for 1 or 3 for 2 packages you think would be good for me to put together with this owner? This is my team, and he has

PG - Westbrook (off limits)
SG - Ray Allen
G - Steph Curry (off limits)
SF - Grant Hill
PF - Varejao
F - Granger (off limits)
C - Z. Randolph
C - Nene
Util - Jason Terry
Util - Evan Turner
Bench - Troy Murphy
Bench - Boozer
Bench - Salmons

As you may have guessed by looking at this roster, he's a.) in 2nd to last and b.) willing to make deals (a rarity in fantasy bball, imo), which is why I think it'd be cool if I could figure out a deal I can make w/ him that would benefit me.

Re: '10-'11 Fantasy Basketball Season Thread

Yeah I was thinking both Brand and Scola are sell-high candidates. Brand gets more blocks though than both but he doesn't seem likely to keep it up.

I don't know, his roster is pretty limited if he's completely unwilling to give up the 3 you marked. I think I'd aim higher with all the Scola press hitting ESPN. His stats are fading somewhat so that window is closing. I like your roster so I personally wouldn't mess with it unless you got a big upgrade at a position.

Our league completes like 1-3 major trades a week lol...we just had lebron, wade, and dwill all traded within a couple days of each other.

Eh I just looked more closely at your roster...Ray Allen is a big upgrade at guard and you have so much depth at big men that I would make the trade regardless...I'd probably try to keep either Brand or Scola but it wouldn't be a deal breaker.

Re: '10-'11 Fantasy Basketball Season Thread

I wouldn't call Allen an "upgrade" over any of Deron/Manu/Rondo but his three point shooting would be clutch and he'd replace Frye in my utility slot to play alongside Darko there.

btw, emergency PSA: Wes Matthews is starting over Batum tomorrow. Pick him up in your league if he is available.

Re: '10-'11 Fantasy Basketball Season Thread

Yeah I figured he'd go in your UTIL slot...obviously you're not benching any of the 3 you mentioned.

Some guy in our league is shopping Griffin around...just offered me Jrue Holiday, Jose Calderon, and Blake Griffin for Pau Gasol and Gilbert Arenas. lol.

Depends on who replaces Fields/Hill along with Brooks (whether it's an FA or someone from your bench), but unless it's someone terrible, snapcall

Re: '10-'11 Fantasy Basketball Season Thread

Should I be looking to drop OJ Mayo for Landry Fields?

EDIT: The only two other guys I would consider getting rid of are Batum and Humphries

Has Batum been doing anything at all this year? He's possibly lost his starting job now. I'd prob be more likely to drop him.

Re: '10-'11 Fantasy Basketball Season Thread

someone just dropped humphries in my league.
the only category im not in the top 3 in is rebounds.
my worst players are demarcus cousins, eric bledsoe, al-farouq aminu, and taj gibson.
is dropping bledsoe for humphries a no brainer?
actually thinking im gonna drop gibson. boozer on his way back.

Re: '10-'11 Fantasy Basketball Season Thread

Dropping any of those for Humphries is a no-brainer. imo. (I'm not as big on Aminu as you, Cousins has sucked so far this year and is in and out of Westphal's doghouse, Gibson should probably be dropped anyway as he goes to a bench role once Boozer comes back which should happen tomorrow)

Keep a close watch on his minutes, as Troy Murphy is coming back and might bake away from some of Humphries' PT - but as long as he's getting minutes, he's a rebounding machine. He's more valuable than usual in my league though cause of his offensive rebounding...in normal leagues, I guess big men that will get you 10/10 per game are more commonplace.

Re: '10-'11 Fantasy Basketball Season Thread

aminu is a stud. blake griffin is taking away his rebounds, but hes shooting over 50% from 3, which is reason enough to keep him.
cousins i think you have to keep, his potential is sky high and is only going to put up better numbers, especially because dalembert has made it clear he wont be putting up any offense.
bledsoe, who knows. hes starting at point, but gordon seems to be the real pg on the team. i may be dropping bledsoe also, just because of lack of consistency.
