Are you a winning, or Losing player in Poker?

I'm curious, some people say 40% of poker players are winners some say 5%.
Let's see how many players are actually winning or losing. While I was playing, I was a losing player! but I made a couple good cashes in MTT however, I would win in MTTs, then play High Limit Poker and lose! lol at me if you like you can state what games you play...

1. ThSprShwDwn (me) a losing player!
2. ?

end of this thread we will take the average! so, we all have the actual picture and the estimation. Please don't be a smart.... nor make pointless comments.

Thanks.

Re: Are you a winning, or Losing player in Poker?

I've played poker as a serious hobby for 7 years. I've never had a losing year.

This survey is not going to be helpful though. People may lie, of course, but even if they don't, the winners won't be shy about piping up and the losing players may decline to comment. Also, the audience here may have a larger percentage of winners than the population at large.

Re: Are you a winning, or Losing player in Poker?

If we're talking about every person who has ever paid rake to play poker, in the history of the game, I'm sure under 10% are winners.

A poll here will certainly be biased, however, for the reasons Rusty said.

Winner, fwiw.

im pretty sure ive seen this question answered w/ pokertablerating's data somewhere. so you might want to search for that if you're interested in a reasonable result.
