I`ve seen Negreanu (KidPoker) on Pokerstars lately. He is a firm believer in small-ball playing. I must say, this far Im not so convinced. He doesnt seem to reach very far, and gets stuck for many hours with his starting-stack (a little down, a little up) I am by no means disputing his poker-skills or his tournament-result (infact I have watched Poker VT on youtube many times) But for me, it`s too nitty and you miss too many chances to build your stack. In my opinion, changing gears, and mix up your play is the right way to go.
Im still learning poker, and I will never ever claim to be good at it no matter. My approach is to be like a sponge when it comes to knowledge. I study the best, but Im also eager to find my own way. Pick up what makes sense to you and put it into practice. If it works, perfect! If not, adjust or discard it
