Snapshove Push Question Snapshove Push Question

Hi everyone,

I have a question about push ranges. We have one assumption which is that the Snapshove Application is correct. (All the ranges are from this app)
Then I simulate one situation, with a M of 6 on the Cut Off.
An what a surprise ! We are not supposed to push the same range if we are 10 handed, 6 handed or 4 handed althought we have the same M on the same position !
And another surprising thing is that the calling range is tighter in 10 handed in the BB against Cut Off than in 4 handed althought we are supposed to push wider.

Does anyone know why there is this difference in ranges ?

Thank you for reading my post anyway

Hi!

There's ante in your examples.

Yes, but it doesn't change anything right ? You can put the antes when you use snapshove

If I'm counting right, the BB gets worse odds on his call with the same M but more antes.

Example:
1) Blinds are 160/80, ante is 20, there are 5 players at the table. Total in the pot: 300.
2) Blinds are 120/60, ante is 15, there are 10 players at the table. Total in the pot: 300.

You're right, it seems to be because of the pots odds I'm going to simulate without the antes.

Yes, obviously forgot to post antes for SB and BB.

Well, there is no tournament without antes anyway, it will be a waste of time to do it. Thank you for your response anyway

Is A3 really not a shove from cutoff? Especially 4 handed it would seem a joke not to shove this hand.

The calling range has so many dominating aces in it that A3o has less than 38% equity when called. Hands like 98s are more profitable shoves, as they have nearer 39% equity.

I would shove both hands, I prefer 98s but A3 you also get called less because it blocks the calling ranges.
