Say V 4 bets to 1300 with 4000 behind and you have him covered in a cash game

If you shove and he folds, you stand to collect 1800 in dead money

Say you are an 80% favorite against his hand and you 5 bet to 3000 and he calls, EV is also 1800.

So in such a situation, are both scenarios equally profitable since they generate the same amount of EV, less profitable due to risk of getting outdrawn or more profitable considering you stand to win his entire stack on subsequent streets?

One obvious argument against 5 betting half the effective stacks with aa is you don't want to do that with a bluff so don't that with aa either. But I haven't thought about why no. If we 5 bet half the effective stacks, does villain 6 bet shove some of his bluffs? Is that good for us or bad? Depends on our equity against his range that finally stacks off.

My guess him no matter what our bluff benefit from getting him to fold his equity. So shoving > 5 betting half stack for our bluffs. But our aa and kk benefit from widening the continuation frequency of his bluffs past the 4 bet. So it will come down to which part of our range gains more.
